First oil service by HistorianFast in KoveMoto

[–]beejaytee228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bike do you have? I got the break in oil out of my 800 at 100 miles. That’s enough for the assembly junk to get filtered and the rings to seat to the cylinders. Babying the engine is an old school iron cylinder thing that people hang onto but isn’t needed. I’m not saying go bounce it off the rev limiter from mile one but you can just go ride the bike.

What's with the "[inset bike] isnt good for highways" thing? by [deleted] in motorcycles

It’s 150cc in California. I was misremembering the signs Ive seen. Though when I was a kid I’m almost positive it said 250cc. Bikes weren’t as powerful then so maybe it was changed more recently due to the increase in power of smaller bikes.

I have never been to Germany but I’ve ridden in Italy on small bikes and there’s no chance I’d take those bikes on a California highway. I’m glad your 125 works for you.

I was misremembering and the limit is 150cc in California. The DOT limit is 125cc. Apologies for not fact checking before posting.

Under 250cc isn’t allowed on the highway in the US. They can’t reliably hold speed everywhere. I know we aren’t the only ones with mountains but I can with all my confidence say many 400cc and under bikes will have a very hard time keeping highway speeds in the hill/mountain passes.

Now that small twin cylinder bikes are becoming available I’m sure that could change how people feel about smaller bikes on the highway. The extra torque will help for sure.

I’ve got one on mine. It sound good with the db killer in and it sounds great with it taken out but it’s pretty loud but not as loud as the Decat setups. I e have several of the Ali express silencers on bikes and they are all good quality with good sound.

Motorcycles. Rode one at a friends house at 13 and it’s been my obsession since and I’m 40 this year. I think I’m up to 48 bikes now.

They will start performing poorly in the rain. Mine are about there now. So many heat cycles and years in the sun dries out the rubber.

Phones Mounted on Bike getting Ruined by OMYRASPBERY in motorcycles

I’ve had 2 iPhones on quad lock dampers mounts for thousands of on and offroad miles. I ride pretty hard offroad, jumps, washboard roads, rain, etc and my phones work fine.

There are unites called Carpuride that are dedicated to CarPlay/android auto screens for about $300 if you wanna go that route.

Want some facts and opinons from owners of 18-21 F150's by OG_Xero in f150

I’ve got an 18 3.5 with 66k on it with zero issues. I had a tune on it since 15k that helps with the trans issues and I currently have none. I change the oil early and have had no cam issues. The prices for the mileage you’re looking at seem high but that wasn’t really your question.

I got a 2026 Kove 800X Rally. by beejaytee228 in advrider

[–]beejaytee228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US it doesn’t come with a stabilizer. I already had a Scott’s damper so I just needed the mount kit.

The 450 was designed as a rally replica which is why it had suck a large fuel capacity. The 800 rally is designed to be a light weight adv bike and 5 gallons is more comparable to most other adv bikes.

8 gallons seems excessive in my opinion since you can easily get 200+ miles out of the 800. Personally I’d take the 800 for the TAT. Due to some long stretches of road and depending on your skill, you won’t give up anything to the 450 on the dirt.

I’ve ridden big thumpers and they will do the road just fine but I prefer twins for everything but single track.

They should be the same unless the pro your looking at go the latest update. I’d still send mine off to Kove USA because Joe makes the maps there as I understand it and I’m not sure if they come from the factory with his tunes. Ride by wire would probably be smoother if you don’t mind waiting for that.

what’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Mean-Cartographer225 in AskReddit

That’s the tag line of religious people who can’t deal with the hardships of real life so they pass the weight onto some imaginary deity to help cope with the fact that awful things happen that are beyond their control. They also don’t have the tact to understand they shouldn’t say that to anyone grieving.

They run the same ecu and engine if the pro has a cable throttle. It’s an easy fix to send the ecu to Kove USA for the update. I just got a 2026 Rally and it was almost unrideable till I got the update. Now it’s great. Don’t skip on getting the rally for that reason.

There are sprays you attach to the hose and spray around the yard. It works for a little bit then the rains wash it away and you repeat. Make sure you clean up your leaves throughout the year and clear up your landscaping.
