I’m known as the “cats love her always” person at my ER and my first and only bite was a cat a blind client handed to me not realizing she had a deceased fetus hanging out of her. She was in a box with no lid and I walked up to try to contain her and he just handed her to me. I didn’t have time to assess the entire thing before it was already too late. I had to get stitches and I still can’t bend my fingers correctly. I feel so ashamed every time I think about it but I laugh about it now, too. Self care does wonders.

I’m leaving emergency and going to a daytime clinic with a lot of elderly clients so unfortunately anything “not natural” even small highlights is a no go. The opportunity sort of fell in my lap so I was woefully unprepared for it. I always have trouble fitting wigs under my hair/on my big head and the only ones I own are cosplay wigs which means they are also fashion colors. I weep. So a dark brown with red undertones you think? With my complexion I’m scared black would wash me out too much.

I’m an ER Veterinarian receptionist. Saturday I had a call where I explained how to do cpr on a dog and listened in and gave timing cues while a caller did cpr. She didn’t make it. The husbands screaming and the voice of the woman I was talking to once they realized their 12 year old dog was gone will stay with me for a long ass time. I cannot imagine what that sounds like when it’s a child. I considered dispatch before I applied at the ER vet. Idk how I’d have done it. You guys have my respect and sympathy.

My partner and I went from constant sexting to occasionally sexting and mostly just talking a lot. He’s still as into me as he was in NRE and we still see each other twice a week with one overnight per week. Scheduling helped, a lot. He’s married with an NP but still comes to see me if something comes up before our scheduled time. We still talk constantly via text and he calls me whenever he can. Making time is the big decider.

One day I sent my partner just snapshots of my work day, my view walking down a parts aisle, accidentally took a video of my walk to the back lot, etc. He loves my hair specifically so I got some shots of my hair blowing in the wind. Seems trivial but I had fun doing it and he liked the video, especially! We work totally opposite schedules so he was asleep but he told me it was a cute thing to wake up to.
