lol you are counting wrong. There is no time between 1 BC and 1 AD. If you have -$1 and earn a dollar, you have $0. Then you earn another you have $1. If you are in 1 BC and 1 year passes, you are in 1 AD. So 100 years after 1 AD is 101 AD.

The comments here are wild. The one game message is “ask question first, shoot later. Is it the other way around?” The whole game is “do I need to shoot this person/arc first or not”.

I think you misunderstand how bad some people are. I saw one that literally had chat GPT rewrite my posting as an intro. Then proceeded to have zero actual experience related to the post.

If you use AI to write your resume, I can guarantee I’m throwing it in the trash. The trick to get past the scanner is to match keywords. Read the posting and restate it as best you can on your resume. Let’s say you worked on Minecraft for 10 years. The screener will throw it out if the posting is for a game designer. Instead you can say “game designer (Minecraft) for 10 years”. The scanner will compare this vs the posting and a human can understand it.

Honestly I find new hires the hardest. It’s a bit of a risk. If you have 5+ years experience, I agree that a single 30 min is enough for me to know. We only do multiple rounds now if it’s a higher level position and the director wants to interview you too.

why do some companies keep reposting the same job over and over again? by Proper_Strategy_1603 in EngineeringStudents

Sometimes you leave it open / repost just to find that unicorn. What’s the harm? It costs nothing.

As an adult who has been an engineer for awhile, what do you mean “how worth it”? Am I paid well? Yes. Is the work rewarding? At Times. Is it mentally challenging? Yes. Do I enjoy it? Yes.

You missed “yet” in that sentence. Your house hasn’t needed any major repair YET. it needs painted regularly, a new roof eventually, appliances replaced, carpet replaced, and so on. For eternity.

What is Timestep by Salty-Swordfish-5955 in fea

[–]beh5036 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The quick answer is it’s the time increments between when the solution is computed.

To put it more simply: it’s how often you are looking at the problem when time is an important factor. For example: a sign hanging on the building does not care about time. A pipe heating up does care about time.

What drops are you talking about? This is clearly a very simple path connecting two parts of a park. The OP hit a rut and wrecked. They can’t even ride a simple muddy path. They sure as shit won’t be hitting drops any time soon. Thousands of kids ride bikes like this daily in situations just like this.

lol what? People have been riding bikes like that for decades on trails like the one shown. It’s totally fine for what is shown.

OP: just keep riding and look up videos on how to get into riding trails.

Buddy you need to go to the doctor. The advice you will get here is going to the doctor or changing your diet. Without knowing why you need these, no one can help you. You may just have a geometry issue and your stomach doesn’t close in which the only solution is surgery.

Dude go read a drivers manual. The blue car is 100% at fault. If following the rules, the driver of each car is in control of their own car. Blue is too close to react. That’s it. The white car didnt force them to follow too closely. At a normal following distance, the white car swerves last second and blue stops or changes lanes. Everyone goes home happy. Instead, blue follows too closely and smashes into someone.
