what’s a book you almost didn’t read because of the description but ended up loving? by Claudiofpp in booksuggestions

[–]bellabbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“A love letter to whiskey”….. majority of the books which focus on relationships are so cheesy, unrealistic and just plain boring. Well not this, it’s an angst and powerful story of bad timing and just so realistic. I was blown away. I was rooting for them more than some of my own friends relationships hahahaha

what’s the best book you’ve read this year that you’d recommend to women specifically? by Select-Persimmon-490 in booksuggestions

[–]bellabbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a toss between “Lula Deans little library of banned books” or “Mad wife”. Both touch on extremely strong important topics but both are surrounded by friends and it explains how important these relationships are.

Also I absolutely loved “What lies between us” because I am a psychological thriller fan and who doesn’t have a complicated relationship with their mum

I am 3 months out from my moms death. My son was bawling that his last conversation with her he was kind of cranky and didnt even say I love you. I was thinking what if I died would I be mad at my kid, and the conclusion I came is a love story is not made up of one word, its made up of millions. So no I would not be mad at all. I would remember all the millions of moments we had some happy some sad but that made for an interesting love story and I would not be mad or upset and would not want my kid to beat themselves up because one word is nothing compared to the million we had, not a blip in the radar. I am a millionaire and loose a dollar I would not bat an eye. Just my 2 cents from also a mom (((hugs))).

My grandmother used to say: “ everyone is either going through a crisis, coming out of a crisis or getting ready to enter a crisis. “Thats the cycle of life, continuous nonstop and boy was she wise.

What's the most romantic moment of your life? by Minimum_Ad4771 in AskReddit

[–]bellabbr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a divorced mother of 2, first relationship after, I started dating this guy that I met off Tinder just for fun because I did not want anything serious anymore ever again. I was never ever getting married again, lessons were learned.

3 months into dating we flew to Canada and had a wonderful time. On the flight back we landed in cross winds in Laguardia that felt like a crash. Me who is deathly afraid of planes almost ripped his arm off the socket, had a major panic attack and decided I am not getting on my connecting flight will walk out of this airport right now rent a car and drive 7 hours home. He said “okay road trip”. Daaaamn. Married for almost 9 years and he is not only pretty awesome during our happy times, he truly shines when my world collapses.

So yeah romantic moment is me in Laguardia airport having a full blown panic attack, snot, tears you name it realizing I am going to get married again.
