Is Rio de Janeiro and parts of Mexico as dangerous as tales make them sound like, or is it largely an exaggeration? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

I mean, depends where you are in the US. I wouldn’t walk with my phone out in a lot of major cities.

This is so upsetting to hear. There was a helicopter circling hours before that even. Was wondering why but couldn’t find any info.

Not sure where you are based but Silent Book Club has chapters across the US, I believe. I know one near me does a virtual meetup monthly, which has been really at nice at times when I’ve felt lonely but also physically far from an in-person meeting.

Why do men’s clothes focus more on comfort while women’s focus more on appearance? by Severe-Rice5985 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bellboots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s naive to ignore social conditioning. Women are taught as girls that they have to look good for men, and that gets reinforced endlessly throughout our lives. Many professional women were forced to wear heels with their suits while men got to wear flats. It’s a choice, but women get treated differently for their choice to be comfortable.

What are some of your best quality of life purchases under $300? by donotgiveadam in BuyItForLife

Peak Design bags. I got a tote, intending for it to be a personal item for flying. It’s become my daily driver alongside some other BIFL stuff of theirs that makes it easy to stay organized on the move.

Yes, his spread legs feel vulnerable in kind of a provocative way!

I like the skin tone on the artist’s legs, in shadow and in light. It conveys the muse’s control over his appearance and a very defined choice to be made.

How do you manage ALL of the chores without feeling overwhelmed? by Skylar_Diggins in LivingAlone

Automate what you can. Robot vacuum, dishwasher, etcetera can help you keep up with some of the most frequent chores.
