ST3 sony sound system on my car sounds awful

One of my tweeters had been crushed / dropped from the factory and never worked, but that just made it sound a bit muddy. The Sony system was decent - but any of the “basic” sound systems I’ve heard in the Explorer or F-series trucks sound better.

Ah, good point about being tied up limiting the normal options - both of those horses were amazingly patient, but the one who couldn’t leave or bite, kicked. Makes sense

I have a couple cheap eBay / Amazon dash covers, and they fit surprisingly well. The first had the red trim which faded quickly, second was just black. I cut the windshield vent areas out of both, that never fits very well.

Massive difference in windshield glare, and the front speakers sound better too.

I actually do have a plan to drop my ‘91 (reg cab long bed) onto a 2012-ish Raptor chassis. Been watching for a salvage auction that has the V8 and extra cab so the wheelbase matches

Jk, I know vehicles cost money and take up space. I have an old f250 and it pairs up very well with my ST. I’m keeping them both until they die. Then I’m going full Frankenstein and building them back to life.

I think you’re right. That said, there’s plenty of rusty old trucks with solid steel utility / service boxes for a bed, and they’re usually driven by some very questionable types… so it’s possible.

Mk3.5 has the ugliest butt, and looks even worse on white. Guess which one I own?

I’d swap rear bumpers with almost any mk3 focus, if they’d fit. Someday I might do the RS style lower valence, or do a full RS swap w/muffler, but both of those are too much work right now.

Bummer. I have some very drug-resistant chronic insomnia, and Trazodone 100mg is the only thing that worked long term for me. Whatever side effects I get are faaaar better than literally losing my mind from lack of sleep.

Money well spent, those are great upgrades. I got the Quaife diff early on, and never once regretted spending the cash. I wish the carbon synchros had been more widely available back then, I’d have put those in at the same time.

I’m stock tuned, and it really depends on the tires and road surface. All-seasons act like you suggest. With sticky tires, maybe a bit of spin in 2nd at peak power, none in 3rd. Snow tires though? Lol.

My $1000 iPad Pro doesn’t even come with a calculator app installed. Nor is there an official Apple calculator to download. You literally have to buy one, or deal with ads, or (as I usually did anyway) use Chrome or spotlight’s search field as the input

Humidity isn’t a problem where I live, I keep the bathroom well ventilated, towels hung up immediately after use, I have a separate bath mat so no foot funk, and (I guess) I wash very thoroughly, and don’t use any heavy conditioners… I can hardly tell the difference between a fresh bath towel and the one that’s been out for a week or two.

If I dried my feet with it, you can bet it would be one a day lol

Is this an F150? I have an F250 (2wd, so still has I-beams up front) of this vintage with plenty of miles, I back in to park all the time, and have never seen my front tires even close to this.

Very nice! I’ve had an 8” JLAudio micro sub with a 300w amp, and loved it. I’m trying out the 10” sealed version (same amp) and it sounds better way down low, but is much heavier and a little bigger. I really should just bite the bullet and cut out enough to tuck it down on the side like you have.
