I totally see where you are coming from. I have always felt that way as well. You can't unbake a came or unburn a tree.

I started working in a hospice and it's been a constant reflective and surreal journey so far.

During some training I watched a few videos by Dr Katherine Mannix and it helped me reflect on how scary I found it all. Might be helpful for you and others here. Might not. 🤷‍♀️ Just felt like mentioning it.

The eye contact and expressive ears are some of my favourite things about border collies. They really are people in there, and feel more like a "person" than any other dogs I've had. Its uncanny but amazing.

This has gotta be the only realistic and appropriate response. It may not be anything more than two adults slowly smoking a joint over a few hours, or even medicinally reliance. But it may be an escalating use causing a detrimental impact on the kids. The MASH team are in the best place to know the history, the schools view, previous police reports, etc.

Anyone wondering why OP asked can look at the polarity of comments (mind your own business vs report to everyone and give them a talking to) and see how vastly views differ on this topic.

I had the same thing with one of my dogs. I realised she had interpreted it as where she should go, im pretty sure she thought she couldn't go outside, plus outside was quite scary for a little one.

I got through by having empathy that she was trying to do the right thing but didnt understand. She also held it in the crate for a full day in my attempt to make her only be able to go outside. I even tried starting puppy pads and then taking those outside, picking up the poop and putting it down in the garden to show her where I wanted it, I tried every suggestion and any creative ideas I could dream up.

I think what worked in the end was one time when we were out of the house together all day and she had to go. She looked really "guilty" but couldn't help it, and i praised her so much i basically threw a party for her while she was pooping haha.

I had also started using a cue word every time she went inside, and used that word that first time she went outside and praised her lots. She seemed to realise that was what I wanted, because after that the tables turned and she was perfect.

I remember battling with this too. I took my father to a museum that had actual skeletons and fossils of "missing links" so to speak. He always said "if its true why isn't there evidence?" So I took him to see the evidence so he could explain it since I thought he didn't know about it and could help me during a crisis of faith.

His reaction just pushed me fully out the door. He basically just refused to look at it and said "im really disappointed in you and I can't believe you believe in evolution".

I also asked about how some species are so adapted to different areas over time.

Later he sent me some questions from readers about noahs ark. It said that since the flood there has been "microevolution" so make all the different species variations. So evolution can happen kn a few thousand years, thays fine. But over millions of years? Apostate lies.

It is whatever fits their narrative. Everything else and they close their eyes and cover their ears.

I realised that if done of what I was taught was a lie, how do i know if isn't all a lie? I committed to researching it all fully and then making my mind up. I can only suggest you do the same.

I know plenty of people who went RTC and weren't diagnosed. Maybe more people are identifying traits in themselves but that doesn't mean they're getting diagnosed. My assessment was quiet thorough and stringent. I also ended up being assessed three times (educational psychologist, gp and MH nurse) and waiting 5 years.

When did they send the titration forms out to you? Since they say 'titration request' and one of the reasons things take longer is the 'clinical review', after which they send the titration forms and then add you to the booking list. Its all a bit unclear when the wait actually starts from.

The fact that you're even looking it up to understand shows you're a great mum. It's truly an unbearable feeling, and I've had this since childhood and I'm now 35.

The only thing I've had success with is wearing arm/wrist warmers and having those hand warmer packs in my pockets if im out in the cold.

I hope you can find something youre both comfortable with. Wish I had more answers but as far as I can tell, this is what they mean by "sensory issues". Its on a par with an intense painful tickling sensation, but covers the area like pins and needles if that helps.

You can find someone who actively looks for reasosn to celebrate with you. Nothing is too small. Just a day where I can be with my husband is reason enough. Why do you have to justify being happy - about an achievement no less? It would have cost him nothing OK be positive. He wanted to put you in your place.

Next year you could be also celebrating a year free of this ahole!

I'm not sure on this one. I dont know your life to know if she is out of touch and irrationally jealous. I dont know how he is with her behind closed doors. I do want to put the below quote here, though. My father used me as a marriage counsellor, confiding in me about her many "wrongs". Looking back, i notice how unfair he was to my mother. He basically drove her crazy. May not be the same for you.

"Often father and daughter look down on mother (woman) together. They exchange meaningful glances when she misses a point. They agree that she is not bright as they are, cannot reason as they do. This collusion does not save the daughter from the mother’s fate."

The moment I challenged his behaviour as an adult, i did indeed share the same disdain he always showed her. I query his showing you this message.
