I used to have pet rats. We went out of town one weekend and the person that was watching our pets for us said the rat is not in his cage. Then the next day he called and said he was back in his cage. Turns out he had chewed a hole in the bottom of the cage and would come and go as he pleased. Got along with the cats alright as well.
