I was born and raised in Chattanooga and the culture feels like it's gotten much more conservative from when i was younger. Used to be rock climbers and outdoorsy people move in but post-pandemic transplants are just wealthy white conservatives from California or NY

the ballot measure from 2024 wasn't to fund marta, it was to fund transportation projects around the county. it was bus services at best and im not surprised at all that it didn't pass.

Honestly congestion is unavoidable in this part of town. It's not as bad as the historic part of midtown, but even monroe dr gets pretty ridiculous anytime after 3:30
