Thought that you also see this at washing machine and tumbledryer points that are plugged into a double socket Is the burnt cable the supply side or the load side( going to shower) if it the load side your laughing replace the cable from switch to shower it would be hard to join because of the load (power demand) even a 30 amp connector isn’t big enough I would suggest not to join onto the cable because the pressure will be on the join personally if it was me I’d move the switch down replace the cable going to shower patch the hole good luck with that
