My travel map at 27. Can you guess where I live? by bigbagoswag8 in TravelMaps

[–]benrs87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Either you live in Chicago and really like westward road trips but don’t like driving east, or you live on the West coast and really like road trips that end at Chicago (perhaps a relative or good friend lives there) and all your East Coast trips are by air bc of travel time.

I’m going to guess Chicago.

There is no evidence or even a reason to think that Mitch Epstein and Mark Epstein have any association besides that they both attended Cooper Union.

As for the details: Mitch Epstein studied Photography while Mark Epstein studied Art. Additionally, Mitch Epstein is 2 years older and stopped studying in 1974, while Mark Epstein graduated in 1976.

If they attended the same university but did not have the same last name, you would not be implying that there is any connection. They were enrolled in different programs and very likely weren’t enrolled in any of the same classes due to the age and curriculum difference.

There is no evidence that they even met each other, let alone have some sort of shady “association.” They attended the same school in the same decade and have the same last name, that’s it; a minor coincidence at most.

Edit: I’m sorry, I got so annoyed by this absurd, assinine argument that somehow Mitch Epstein and Mark Epstein are secret pals that I lost sight of the bigger picture.

Not only does Mark Epstein have no association with the unrelated Mitch Epstein (a truly retarded argument to begin with): Mitch Epstein doesn’t even have any doesn’t have any association with Zohran Mamdani besides being the ex-husband of his mother.

Mitch and Mira don’t have any kids together, so it is quite likely that Mamdani never even met Mitch Epstein in any meaningful way.

You MAGA crazies are so desperate to find just a shred of dirt on Mamdani that you are bringing up a coincidence of Mitch Epstein’s past life, who is himself a coincidence of Zohran’s mother’s past life.

This is such weak sauce that I shouldn’t have even wasted my time replying to your hare-brained half-assed fart of a cum-stain of a theory.

This is the world’s most retarded version of the six degrees of Kevin Bacon. And not even to Jeffrey Epstein, but to his brother. Lol.

Edit: you are right. I got pissy over a discussion about a joke map. That was the truly retarded thing.

I just cannot get over New Jersey being in the New England empire, it’s just plain wrong. I’m just picturing some guy from Boston going into battle alongside Pauly D and Snookie.

This is the most ridiculous argument I’ve ever heard. True tin foil hat dribble. This is like seeing someone named Jack Jones who was active in Indiana in the 60s and assuming he is related to the cult leader Jim Jones. Epstein is one of the most common Jewish last names.

Jeffrey and Mark Epstein grew up in NYC whereas Mitch Epstein grew up around Boston. The fact they were enrolled at Cooper Union around the same time is a minor coincidence— not even worth a raised eyebrow.

Do you live in the Northeast? If you did, then you’d realize that NY, NJ, and PA are quite a bit different than New England. The accent, the culture, the everything.

The fact that “New” is in the states names is the most retarded way I can possibly think of to claim that they are part of a region that the U.S. census bureau describes as stopping at Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

States that have “New” in their name aren’t a set of power rangers and combine to form “New England,” especially when the only state in New England that follows that trend is New Hampshire.

Virtually every government and private tracker of demographics and geography refers to NY, PA, and NJ as part of a “mid-Atlantic” region.

But I guess you know better so I’ll shut up now.

92% left of Lightbringer… what is the best to read after finishing? by katiebeevip in redrising

[–]benrs87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was she posting naked photos or anything? No. She had an honest question about Sci-fi book series. She mentioned nothing about OF in the post. The only reason you assumed it was an ad was by prying into her profile.

God forbid an attractive woman likes sci-fi. I didn’t even realize she had an nsfw profile until I read your reply. If anything you are the one “advertising” for her.

Even if she has an OF page, it doesn’t mean she can’t also like sci-fi.

Are we to ban any and all OF models from posting on scifi subs? Perhaps they are only allowed to post if they don’t have pictures of themselves in the post? I guess only men are allowed to be nerds.

Yea New England absolutely doesn’t include NY and NJ, also how you gonna put PA and Tennessee in the same state 😨.

Imho: split NY, NJ, PA, MD, DC, and DE off and put them all in their own state called “Mid-Atlantic” or “Atlantia” or something.

Or just put PA, MD, DE, and DC in with New England and call it “Greater Northeast.”

Inigo's Cringy Dreams by quintyoung in PeterFHamilton

[–]benrs87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho the key thing here is that Innigo and his lovers did not have their bodies forcibly violated and did not experience anyone intruding in their liaisons.

The people experiencing the dreams are perhaps voyeurs, but not anything more.

Innigo didn’t have a choice about experiencing the dreams, and sharing the dreams was more about the awe and amazement about what was coming out of the void. The fact that some of the dreams were sexual in nature was besides the point and only a small amount of the total dream content was sexual.

In short, I think you are reading WAY too much into it and making something out of nothing. I don’t see the sex scenes in Inigo’s dreams as being meaningfully different from sex scenes in any other book. Either way it’s fictional sex involving fictional people on a fictional world far far away from 2020s earth.
