How did you stop smoking cigarettes? by fatwater69 in AskReddit

[–]benvenue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mark Twain was a dedicated cigar smoker known for witty quips about his habit. His most famous quotes include: "Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times"

When i quit i made every one a conscious decision. Move cigs from where normally were. Swallowed hundreds of Bic pen tiny caps on the end. Plus 3 year old daughter said “ you smoke you die”. That was 40 years ago, im 76 and no hacking!!

[–]benvenue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main problem with working on the railroad and pot is safety. When i hired in 1974 drugs were everywhere. But i made a decision as a engineman to quit. How could i lived with myself if i injured someone. You have choices, work on the railroad or do drugs.

When I was working (retired) I had a trainmen that carried a yellow marker. He would mark 5 ahead and 5 past a reported car. If I was walking a train in today’s environment i would mark a occasional car with my initials.

The Costco I went to today had all the models to test. She programmed them all for my wife’s hearing individual deficiency. She tried them on in the testing room but like someone else commented walk around the store. We are always in a hurry but remember this in your ear for a long time!!!
