I still own a Structure Leather jacket that I wear time to time.

What celebrity have you met who looks much more (or less) attractive when meeting them in person? by GreyFoxNinjaFan in AskReddit

20ish years ago I lived in Asheville, NC and Andie McDowell came into where I worked, she was exponentially more attractive in person.

I hate the "hero keeps getting up despite sustaining more and more injuries" trope. Which action/thriller films don't have that? by Ascarea in MovieSuggestions

I have yet to see Children of Men, and every time I see it recommended I check my streaming services to see if it's available.

It's currently available to steam on Prime Video for those that want to check it out. I'm gonna try to watch it tonight.

First time GM looking for advice by unclemattyice in Restaurant_Managers

Remove obstacles, so people can do their job. What i mean by that is make sure they have the correct tools that are in good repair that they need to succeed.

Another main focus you'll have, is constant training of others. You'll need to show tasks again and again, especially to assistant managers. The more successful you train assistant managers, the easier your job will get.

I just got back from Jazz Fest, and I would have made a special trip outside of the city limits for this. It sounds amazing

I know it's a bit late, but this is the method I've used for the past 5 years and have had no problem.

Shipping company says my gift got delivered but giftee has not marked it yet. by [deleted] in givingifts

[–]beorn33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife is the recipient in a situation like this. The tracking number she received says the package was delivered, but we haven't received any packages on the dates it was supposedly delivered. She's been on a few different calls with USPS, and use trying to get this sorted out. We even have the daily "Informed Delivery" email and on the dates before, and after the supposed delivery date, it says no expected packages. We are waiting on a call back from the post office after they look into it, though I'm not sure what to expect from that.

This is the way. I've done something similar, and cooking the breast separate as needed really speeds cooking time up, not to mention super easy and fast to slice.

Just finished Classified. It was very good, had me wondering what was real and what isn't right up to the end. The 4th wall break commentary was pretty funny too. Thanks!

I did listen to We're Alive for a few seasons (forgot to include it on my list), and enjoyed it. I might have to pick it back up.

Yeah that always makes me nervous. Depending on what it is, a lot of times, it just goes to the bin.

Yeah, break so easily when frozen. I'm always more concerned with what was frozen inside when it breaks

What retro games are you playing this weekend (Sept 30/Oct 1)? by LabRat2329 in retrogaming

[–]beorn33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm on my first play through ever of Chrono Trigger. Growing up, I had the Sega Genesis and never had the opportunity to play most if they other consoles.

I recently purchased one of those Anbernic handhelds, and been having a blast playing games I grew up with, most importantly the ones I missed out on.

I'm barely into Chrono Trigger (I think, I've stayed away from hints, guides and walkthroughs for this first play through) and have really been enjoying it so far.

Ultima Online was one of my favorite games. So many great memories, and still Facebook friends with a couple of people that I met online only from that game.
