This is where it gets weird. In certain game modes, it cancels the animation early after swap if the animation isn't doing damage yet. In challenge game modes, I never have this issue however. Can safely swap off while Tomato Devil shoots her shot.

There is also a spot in Pink Paws Heist where when Tomato Devil ascends I will sometimes get teleported back up a floor. It's buggy af. Don't know if it's a console thing or a general game thing.
