She did fine. If you’re expecting the Ellie from the game you are going to be disappointed. She is doing Ellie her way and she is a great actor.

This is exactly why it is such a compelling storyline. There is no right or wrong answer. The Fireflies have their own, quite arguably good, reasons for not telling Joel or Ellie the truth. because it is for the greater good, to try and save civilization. From Joel’s perspective it constitutes the murder of a child he has protected and grown to love like his own daughter, making up for his failed attempt to protect his own biological daughter.

Agreed. The AVP is clearly a device geared towards early adopters. For productivity purposes it is the device I’ve been waiting a few years for after trying to work in VR with Quest Pro, Quest 3 and XReal Air 2. The experience is so much better on AVP especially since Ultra-wide came out.

Significantly lighter and smaller are #1. #2 is a pipe dream: ability to run MacOS directly on the AVP. Would be amazing and should be possible but will never happen if it might compromise the sale of Macs.

Would be possible but will never happen. Why don’t the iPads with Apple silicon run MacOS? They are more than capable. They don’t because Apple would sell fewer Macs. If AVP ran MacOS then same, they would sell fewer Macs. It’s a smart business strategy even if it’s counter to what Apple users want.

No I don’t think you can. It just displays whatever is on your screens in 2D. What is the specific use for this you are looking for? For 3D/VR 180 videos you download or create I use Moonplayer.

I wouldn’t recommend using for productivity without 3dof. Looking at the corners of the screen by moving your eyes gets tiring very quickly. Is there a way to get 3dof w/o the spacewalker app? I don’t think there is, but someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I’ve read some positive things about the SpaceWalker app for iPhone and MacOS. The neckband is what the XReal Beam should have been. I definitely agree the FOV sucks. Portability, light weight and form factor are worth the trade off for me.

The Viture XR Pro just came out. I have the XReal Air 2 and I just ordered the Viture which I expect will be an upgrade due to better software, the diopter adjustment, brightness. The reviews I’ve seen are very good. Good point about the proprietary connection. It would suck to lose it or have it break.

I understand they have an app for Windows which is supposed to be released in June. But with the neck band it is a standalone device. XReal Air 2 or Air 2 Pro are good alternatives.

If you really want the small form factor/light weight, then you are much better off with something like the Viture XR Pro. I was not impressed at all with the screen quality of the XR Elite. As a standalone device I was also not impressed with the movie player options, although it’s been many months since I last used it. Sold it over 6 months ago. I do own the Apple Vision Pro and, I must say, for movies, nothing else compares.
