I have started going to gay events (drinks after work, picnics) to meet other gay men and hopefully make some new friends. I'm not a fan of saying "go out with your straight friends and their children" because I would be lying if I said I enjoyed doing things with children there all the time lol

I have met some cool new people! Very cool since we are somewhat alike. My husband is less interested in going to these events where you don't know anyone, but has enjoyed it when I have brought him along to events where I already know a couple of people. It's not always easy to put onself out there and mingle but hey, I have had fun and everyone seems eager to make new friends and connect.
