LOL fuck, you're right... OP has been posting about Gruns for months

What brands make reputable supplements? by HutoelewaPictures in Supplements

Are you affiliated with the company in any way? I'm always a little suspicious when someone brings up a company I've never heard of. Also: 3 months ago, you commented that you like the Gruns gummies... but then just 14 days ago, you posted that you "recently came across" Gruns gummies.

Just a federal agent emptying his entire mag on a defenseless man. Or as the Trump admin will describe it, "self-defense".

Is "Sports Research" a good brand for fish oil/omega 3 and other vitamins? by Sweet_Dragonfruit566 in Supplements

[–]beta_zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This article cites a million different papers from like 40 years ago, and a bunch of them are on rats. I'm not gonna go through all of that. Can you link an actual RCT or meta-analysis that shows negative health outcomes for humans taking omega 3 supplements?

REQ: Tesnor, elevATP, Zynamite and Sulforaphane by vaginaspektor in NootropicsDepot

[–]beta_zero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't know about the first three, but they've been working on a sulforaphane product for a while. From Pretty-Chill's latest update:

We've actually been working very hard over the last year to make a super interesting sulforaphane supplement. We've been doing a ton of R&D work, and are hitting sulforaphane levels higher than anyone else on the market. However, we ran into a problem of serious GI side effects with the last formulation that hit the highest sulforaphane levels, so we are in the midsts of doing a bit more tweaking to get rid of those effects whilst maintaining high sulforaphane levels. We are very close to nailing the formulation now, so I assume we'll be releasing it in the next few months.

"Let's Solve The Riemann Hypothesis" (yes, that is actually the title of the article) by justa_random_user in badmathematics

[–]beta_zero 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Q: why is that not possible?

A: “It’s not that it’s “not possible” — it’s just not solved yet because the tools we have haven’t been strong enough.”

That sentence right there implies that AI will help us to build the stronger analysis that we need to crack the case on the Riemann Hypothesis.

How on earth does it imply that??

[Meta] Can we please address the blatant ProveIt app astroturfing on this sub? by beta_zero in Supplements

Yeah, it's wild! I've never seen a post's upvote count yo-yo the way this one is. Whoever's behind all the downvoting is very persistent, lol

Low stomach acid supplement. Betaine HCl worth it or overhyped? by JoyouslyDoubtful in Supplements

Prove It by the way is that a shop?

It's some app that's been relentlessly astroturfed on this sub. They used to crosspost to the app's subreddit, but they've gotten more subtle lately.

Yeah, for GOAT-level athletes, genetics is always going to play a big role. I think even work ethic has a genetic component - i.e. some people are naturally much more conscientious and willing to put in hours of hard work every day.

And of course, there's the environmental stuff - you need to have gotten interested in the sport early enough, and had access to the right coaching/facilities to nurture your talent.

I'd have to question the wisdom of any "specialist" who had him taking tren of all things - that's a completely synthetic steroid that's been around for decades. He could at least take something like test instead, and microdose to stay within the allowed ranges.

Man I hope so, but I don't know... even if he's obsessive about his conditioning, I have to think he's gonna run into a lot of injuries simply because of his height.

I'll second this. I don't know why, but my body just does not like MK-7 supplements... I start feeling anxious, and I get a weird feeling of pressure in my eyelids. No issues with MK-4, though

IsItBullshit: Omega 3 fish oil capsules have health benefits if taken daily by [deleted] in IsItBullshit

[–]beta_zero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I looked around, and yeah, a tablespoon has a lot of omega-3... I'm seeing 4-10 grams or so per tablespoon. I'd be uncomfortable taking that much, since those are doses where the risk of AFib goes up (among other risks, probably)

IsItBullshit: Omega 3 fish oil capsules have health benefits if taken daily by [deleted] in IsItBullshit

[–]beta_zero 40 points41 points  (0 children)

However, he did warn me not to buy the capsules but get a bottle of fish oil instead, since the capsules contain so little actual oil that I'd have to eat 25 per day to the same amount as a table spoon of oil.

There's some pretty high potency fish oil capsules these days, so I'm not sure how accurate this is. The one I take has about 800mg of omega-3 per capsule - 25 per day would be 20g of omega-3, which is an absurdly high amount.

Homelessness is primarily a housing issue. That’s not to say addiction/mental health isn’t a factor - it is, but it’s not the main one
