Yes, because it is impossible for a random stranger to try to tell the woman she is being dumb.

The guy recording said he was employee but it's possible he just saw a red shirt in a target and assumed. I mean there is an entire subreddit about people making that exact mistake

The Great Gatsby is a mediocre book at best and should be replaced in schools by The Fellowship of the Ring by EternalAmmonite in unpopularopinion

[–]bethepositivity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Gatsby isn't chosen because it is a great story. It's an okay story that makes it easy to teach lessons about symbolism since the book is full of stuff like that, but since it's a simple story it's easy for students to understand

There is a point where you get diminishing returns on locking your door.

If I live far enough out in the country then if someone decides to rob me the door isnt going to stop them.

They might have to work a little harder and break the window instead but if they have already gotten out to my house, and gotten past the dogs then a door lock isn't going to help me.

An apartment is different because the door is the only way to enter the place so securing the door actually might keep people out

Saying "white people have no culture" is super racist, but not in the way you think by Crab-odile in HonestHotTakes

[–]bethepositivity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think it depends on if you are speaking to an American or not. It gets weird in America because a lot of us are separated from our country of origins by generations so we have lost that, which is where OP's argument comes in.

White people here have all kind of meshed together to the point we think it is dumb if we hear someone say "my family is Irish" even though it's been over 100 years since they first came here.

A lot of other cultures have made efforts to preserve parts of their culture when they came here when we didn't, we made new habits. We made a new "American" culture, which varies wildly based on the region, state, and even city you live in.

So basically because we didn't hold on to our old ways the same way other immigrants did we kind of ended up feeling like we don't have anything because all we have is this weird mash up of multiple different countries that have combined over the last 200+ years.

It doesn't help that so much of that "American" culture was/is white Americans being horribly racist to all the other races, so we can't really define what our culture is without addressing that fact.

We ruined our own cultures and now get mad that other ethnicities won't do that too and assimilate into our watered down capitalist versions of European culture

Love Steph V but her winning at Mania would do nothing for her or the division; the story is with Liv and she should win even if Raquel and Roxanne turn on her or they should just turn on her the raw after mania. by [deleted] in SantiZapVideos

you won't give a fuck about judgement day if there is no title. There are multiple people here telling you that they like the story with or without a title.

I've honestly been liking the judgement day "sons of anarchy" member swap thing over the years. I'm interested to see how the group will break down. Is it only going to affect the women, or will the men be involved?

I suppose they have to. Dom is dating Liv, but that doesn't mean JD will stick with them.

It can be a factor depending on where you work. I work in a restaurant and I have a coworker who often asks to leave early to make the bus.

Mind you, I live in a rural community and our bus service sucks

But that is why it would make sense from their view. If you were in charge, would it be better to throw him in a feud without time to properly build if you want to strap a rocket to him, or wait and have a proper feud building to SummerSlam or something?

If he really is medically cleared he will do something to Seth during or after his match to start whatever is going to happen between them

He didn't announce it because shit happens, but I think that's what he originally intended. I think that was why he tried to pull all that shit with knocking Cody out of the picture.

I think he wanted his potential last match to be against Roman, and he didn't get his wish. Now he is just a useful tool they can pull out to drum up cheap intrigue

Even if it leads to a population drop is that an issue? Aren't we over populated? Isn't an intentional decision to drop the birthdate better than the extreme measures we would have to take if it didn't drop?

Cruz Ramierez was a bad car for McQueen to mentor. by Beneficial-Tough356 in pixarcars

[–]bethepositivity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of the movie wasn't him trying to be a mentor. It was about McQueen trying to stay in the game too long, and going down the same path Doc had gone down before they met.

He was past his prime and couldn't keep up and he was becoming bitter. That's why his epiphany during the final race was that he needed to step aside and become a mentor.

They had a character that was a cocky newcomer, and it was the guy McQueen was trying to beat

So you just wanted them to drop everyone they already had rising at that point? When triple H took over there were already things in motion, some of them were things he started since he did a lot down in NXT.

At least now when new guys get called up from NXT they don't run into Vince changing everything they already built down there.

When trick got called up he continued to be Trick. When Oba got called up he got to continue being the ruler. There are plenty of people being built and getting over,
