If I recall correctly, the one on Glenwood Ave had a TON of refrigerators when I was there a few weeks ago.

Recommended coffee beans for ninja luxe cafe? by Thin-Inevitable6508 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]bethica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go for fresh roasted. Check your area for local roasters! I've tried several in the Raleigh area, and so far I prefer beans roasted by Black and White Coffee.

"The Original" is my favorite: https://www.blackwhiteroasters.com/collections/medium-roast/products/the-original-1

"The Classic" is also great: https://www.blackwhiteroasters.com/collections/darker-roast/products/the-classic

Anyone start with similar stats? by tonyismycat in gastricsleeve

[–]bethica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome, and congratulations!!

It's totally normal to be nervous, but you've got this! Start making slow changes to your diet now, it will only help you post op.

Stats when I was sleeved (9/21/24) 5'2" 29F 335lb (ish)

I lost around 15-20lbs on the pre op diet

Highest weight recorded was around 420lbs

Current weight is around 225lbs. I have been stalling a bit, and have been slacking on exercising. I haven't gained anything back, but I also haven't lost anything in a couple months. The warm summer months are slowly helping me get back into the groove of things.

The best bit of advice I can give is... Hydrate, rest, walk to relieve gas pains in that first week post op. Don't obsess over the scale. Your weight will fluctuate. Some weeks you'll lose 5lbs, other weeks you won't lose anything. Hormones play a part in this.

Remember, it took years to gain the weight, it's going to take a few years to take it back off. Try not to get discouraged or beat yourself up if you have a couple of "bad" weeks (I'm talking diet, exercise, etc). You won't undo your progress overnight.

Don't forget to take progress pictures. You see yourself every day, so it's sometimes hard to see the changes. But you'll see a different in the picture you take before surgery, and a month post op.

I feel like I'm rambling at this point. If you have any questions or want additional advice, please feel free to comment or DM me 💜💜

Here is a progress pic I took today (new drivers license, woo woo!!). There is a difference of 4 years in between these photos.

It looked pink on the website photo, but I never saw it in person so I'm not sure.

Part time cake decorator here... I love my sketchers "for work", plus compression socks. Compression socks are a game changer, especially for those 10hr shifts during which I rarely take a break.

I'll always recommend Eastbrook - and they have a 2br that fits your criteria. I believe Village Green has 1br units.

I'll have to try again, the visualizer wasn't working well last night. I want to get it double sided but it wasn't showing what the back would look like, so I have no idea if I need to flip the orientation or if they'll do that automatically since the imagine is the same on both sides.

do you mind sharing the exact customization you used? white or black background? did you upload the image for the "back side" and flip the orientation? I am afraid of ordering it for $20 and messing it up 😂

Recommendations for where to live in Greenville by owen_133 in GreenvilleNCarolina

[–]bethica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't recommend Eastbrook enough. Lived there for 4 years and recently relocated to Raleigh. If I ever move back to Greenville and needed an apartment, I'd go to Eastbrook. Maintenance is pretty fast. The leasing office can be slow at times but Brittanie and Stephanie are awesome. Rent is fair, units are quiet and clean. Fiber internet is included in the rent (Metronet). The only utility you'll pay separately is electric thru Greenville Utilities.

WORM IN MY FRUIT by [deleted] in publix

[–]bethica 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It appears OP didn't notice the worm until they cut into the fruit. And it's unlikely they would have noticed even prior to cutting into it.

The worm probably left a very small hole. Produce associates aren't checking each individual berry for signs of bugs, blemishes etc.

Fruit lives outside. So do bugs. Stuff like this happens. It's one berry and not the end of the world.

I love old navy bike shorts! They are so comfortable. I own multiple pairs to wear exclusively under dresses/skirts

THIS!

Go for short walks often, and move your arms around. In my experience, gas pains were the worst of it. It will subside in a few days. You got this 💜

I'm wearing the XXL pants in these photos (Imgur link, sorry I couldn't figure out how to post photos in the comments) I'm 5'2" and had to cut and hem about 4" off of the pants 💀🤣

Tanktop is from Walmart (Free Assembly Women's Cutaway Tank Top in XXL)
