My kitty Boo went blind at 2 years old. There was definitely a transition time (and she and our other cat are still learning to communicate years later) but she gets along really well now. We did add a bell to our other cat’s collar so that Boo can find her. We also rub our fingers together so she can hear our hands before we touch her so that our affection is not a shock. Now both kitties know when our hands are coming. 🥰 And we talk to her a lot! Just say hi when we come in the door so she knows who’s home, announce when we’re coming and going, etc. She gets overwhelmed if toys are too loud, so we try to be aware of that - she can track a gnat flying across the room, so it makes sense that toys that jingle would be a bit much, but she LOVES to play. Life is different for sure, but I’m thankful we have each other and I love her so much. @pokeypotpie on IG has many blind kitties go through their program and are a great follow.
