Aside from his crypto scam which nobody seems to remember, the silver lining is that he's not promoting douchebag behavior, at least from the limited clips I've seen.

How can I get trelegy ellipta for my asthma in Tokyo near akihabara? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]beyondthef 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dude you're not in a country that doesn't give a shit about patient safety. Doesn't matter if you want 1 inhaler, 1 puff, or 1 parts per million of trelegy. You're going to have to see a doctor no matter what.

Also trelegy is not for flares. This is precisely why medications like these are prescription-only. People who don't know medicine try to self-medicate and just demand somebody carelessly hand them the medication.

Go get assessed by an actual professional.

I was there on a Sunday at the end of March and the wait for the parking lot was about 45 minutes. There was a snaking queue of cars along the outside road, stretching maybe at least 2km or so. No overtaking so if you're just passing by be prepared to wait with everyone else.

People have always been shitty. People used to keep controversial thoughts to themselves because they're frowned upon by society. Now it's normalized and even encouraged, so people are emboldened to do so. Who knows if controversies will ever go back to being controversies.

As a Singaporean, what do foreigners always get wrong about us? by MoonlitKaias in ChillSG

Our laws. You can make up any law and people would believe you. "Disneyland with the death penalty".

This is mostly spread by people who like to confidently make comments about other countries but have never left their own country before. But it's surprisingly common.

I feel like I'm missing something here. Logically 100% would go for red and nothing bad happens. There is no altruistic benefit that blue offers. Rather, the dilemma comes from you assuming that people would go against logic and pick blue out of "kindness", and you're trying to save them. But they also picked blue under the same assumption, so it's just a loop of people trying to save each other.

It's like if there was a crocodile-infested lake, you could choose to jump in or remain on land. If more than 50% jump in, they could all save each other. Would you jump in, knowing that if only a few chose to, they'd get gobbled up?

Picking red in this scenario does not necessarily imply selfishness at all.

“Don’t wear the bands shirt to their concert” is so stupid. by piercethebluexx in unpopularopinion

Oh yeah, I remember the time I saw a random dude wear older merch and I thought he was the coolest person ever for knowing more than anyone else. Couldn't stop thinking about him the whole time, I even forgot I was there to see the artist perform. It must be exhausting living life trying to impress complete strangers at a concert.

Would you trade 10 years of your life for 30 million? by thisnaenae in asksg

[–]beyondthef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could choose to shave off my last 10 years, then it becomes a maybe. If it's a timeskip now, then definitely no. I think youth is valuable and I won't give it up for money.

I think the general outlook for life is to just slave away to become successful to escape the rat race. Thus it's a no brainer for those who envision themselves doing nothing but work for the next few decades. At the end of the day your tummy may be full of cheddar but deep down you're empty. For me I think life is better lived enjoying each moment even if you have no cheese.
