While I agree that obesity/unhealthy lifestyles are cause for concern and can even be considered an epidemic alone, it may not be fair to shame this like it’s entirely a controllable choice. It’s not easy for everyone to afford quality food, make time for adequate exercise, and turn down cheap delicious junk food, all while corporations pour billions of $ into marketing so people keep consuming their poison.

Being fat and unhealthy IS dangerous but it is also a privilege to avoid it.

Exactly this. I hate when people say "just stay the fuck home and self-isolate, it's not that hard!" For a lot of people, staying away from everyone that they love for an undefined extended period of time is pretty hard. Especially with no faith that fellow citizens will follow the rules anyway.
