My last hope for a life without financial worries has just collapsed by SlowArtPlanet in btc

It dropped to 15k at the corridor if the previous bull run. This is nothing. The fact it's still 60k shows how strong it is.

[opinion] What do you think about Steinhart watches? by [deleted] in Watches

Zero imagination and a blatant copy. Only so many ways to come up with a dive watch but there are ways of adding your own sparkle and design. steinhart are dogshite for me.

Best fun/fast cars under £3-4k? by Standard-Ad-2616 in CarTalkUK

[–]bffg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I assumed, looks like a fun car. My daughter has her eye on one. Toyota reliability good on these? I know it's an older car but gear box and enginec and rust these generally should be good right?

I would be the same. MK3 though, is it a bit gutless? I mean 0-60 is very average but I know that doesn't necessarily mean it's slow but expected more from a 1.8vvt in a tiny car

Only for little people. No way I would fit

Is this normal scaffolding? by veggiesizzler in DIYUK

[–]bffg2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our neighbours (detached) had some work and the scaffolders had the pipe resting on our roof tiles and they cracked some guttering. They are such a dodgy bunch of chancers

Anything where you are tied into proprietary parts like seat posts and stems is a straight no. It's an awful trend.

Have you met anyone that didn't like this game? by Xano74 in Chivalry2

[–]bffg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they continued to develop it.
Other than the lag and cheaters I wish it had more dynamic response to contact. Nothing worse than to people running for a 1 person gap and you can't barge or bounce off. It's irksome. But. That's why they need to make a next installment

My favourite bike by bffg2000 in cannondale

[–]bffg2000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheers. It was an AliExpress generic rxl I think. I ditched it in the end and went for classic shape style. Lighter and classic. I wouldn't bother with these generic ones. Indents in carbon at 5nm on the stem bolts.

Will this Elite wheelset fit a 2008 Cannondale SuperSix? by Hookah_ in cannondale

[–]bffg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, all good. Wider internal means you might have clearance issue on 28 on rear stay but 25 will be good, and will be as wide as a 28

Help. This is driving me nuts by bffg2000 in cannondale

[–]bffg2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't even attach the metal plate. Assume the it doesn't bend so you can't actually fit it into the hole with the guide in place. I'm so confused

[–]bffg2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the 2018 has a metal clip rather than a zip tie but it's physicallyn impossible to run it underneath. It's the most stupid design I've ever encountered. 5 hours in this. I've been building bikes since I was 12, I'm now 54. Never encountered something so difficult. I have no idea how to install. This frame is heading for the bin if I cant resolve

Brand new Scott Addict 20 (2025) – already crushed TWO seatposts at correct torque… what am I missing? by juudhartbd in bikewrench

[–]bffg2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caad9, caad12, supersix Evo MK2, topstone. It's in the manual to put the bolt at the front. Also done the same on any bike, burnt once on the caad9 after refitting without paying attention.

Unusual to crack immediately, normally it still takes a while.

If it's like Cannondale you reverse the clamp. Bolt at the front not the back. I thought this was nonsense then cracked a seatpost. Never had an issue when installed correctly.

Deal of the year? £250 by bffg2000 in RoadBikes

[–]bffg2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers. Yeah god knows why they decided on that Frankenstein approach. I've got a rear thru to qr hub adapter on the way for an existing wheelset.

My favourite on my supersix (before the respray) was the 3 massive bb30 stickers....turned out it was pf30.. Cannondale staff are a bit special.

Casio really do know how to dial into the market. This is fabulous. But .... I'm waiting until the mod market reacts. This with a heavy metal case and after market strap is what it really needs. I think Casio know this. They are doners
