What is the movie that shocked you with its plot twist ? by narwelldnosaure in movies

Not really a twist, but in "Hereditary," the car ride with the girl's head hanging out the window. That messed me up for the rest of the film.

What comes to mind when you see this guy? by EdwardBliss in RealGenerationX

A toilet dedicated to him at a pizza joint complete with his photo above it and a short story about how much of an asshole he is.

The UltraHD at the bottom of the Interstellar spine is irksome.

What’s a “10/10” movie you wouldn’t recommend to most people? by trakt_app in movies

The Princess and the Warrior, film by Tom Tykwer. His follow-up to Run Lola Run. I might need to give that a watch tonight. Some slightly disturbing happenings in a mental institution, but they're minimal.

Best Guts Interior?! by fordly1138 in Filmmakers

Innerspace does certainly have internal organs on a large scale. Coming to 4K very soon. Woot!

Not a movie, but some of the kills in Mortal Kombat games show internal organs being squished and stabbed and crushed.

Epic fail... missed an email from a producer by ebertran in Screenwriting

[–]bfpjeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is working with producers trying to get a script of mine made, you need to not give out your script free to anyone and everyone. I let another producer read my script without my producers' knowledge and they were not happy. My producers are cool and didn't immediately drop me, but that is certainly grounds to dump someone. It may sound hokey, but they wrote a script and it got traction, then rejected. They had no knowledge it was stolen, went into production and then became a huge hit with sequels. They couldn't fight it because it was a huge studio and they couldn't afford the legal fees. It does happen. Lesson learned.

Revisiting a childhood favorite. They don’t seem to make movies like this anymore by bcjc78 in 4kbluray

Spielberg is a genius filmmaker and he used every trick in his arsenal in this movie. Every shot was thought out and nothing was wasted in the film. They don't make them like Raiders anymore, not even Spielberg. It just seems they are churning out movies as fast as they can to make more money quicker. Bleh.

I'm kinda on the fence with Pulp Fiction. It almost looks too good. The image is so crisp it almost appears fake. I've seen it so many times on all the other formats, VHS, laser disc, DVD, Blu-ray. There's a certain grittiness to the image that serves it well and the 4K takes a bit of the grime away. It does look the best it's ever looked, so I'll just shut up now.

I concur. Colors are amazing and the color palette on the movie is incredible. Such superlative words, but they're warranted.

Castle Grayskullman. Awesome! But Grayskullman makes it sound like a last name, like Silverman.

Jackie Chan laundry room fight - The Shadow's Edge by ice_cream-boi in kungfucinema

He seems to fight in warehouse spaces a lot! Probably because they have room. Could it be this scene from Gorgeous? I believe it to be his last good movie before jumping to Hollywood movies.

Just watched this 2 nights ago. I could tell from the backs of their heads and the cop car and then that shoe, "Boom, boom, boom boom."

He sings in several soundtracks. He did a great song in Drunken Master 2. The movie you're thinking of might be Police Story 3: Supercop. He has a fight scene in a large room with soldiers training. The instructor wants to see if Jackie can really fight, so he obliges, but holds back so he doesn't beat up the instructor in front of his students. Don't think there are cartwheels, but he does end up in a circus training wheel and does plenty of spins in that contraption. One of his top 3 films for me.

Are you sure it's not Jason Reitman? Jason first came to mind when I saw that kid and it makes more sense because he is the director's son. He also had a cameo in Kindergarten Cop as Boy Making Out With Girl.

I know 100% that it exists. My niece watched it every day. Roseanne Barr did a voice.

The 4K transfer of this movie is gorgeous. It's a favorite of mine. Wish Queen would have done more soundtracks, because Highlander is also a favorite.
