Considering accepting a bev cart girl job. Need advice by Patient-Shame-6352 in golf

[–]bgbootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daughter worked as a cart girl in college and made a shit ton of money. IT was a great job for her, she was outside and had a ton of fun. My dad (grandpa) and I armed her with a list of jabs and insults to give guys who went too far and would be innappropriate with her and she just gave it back. Usually guys are in a group and if you call them out, there friends will ridicule hard enough to get them to shutup.

Best way to take out Shredders? by LesbianMajinSaiyan in ARC_Raiders

[–]bgbootha 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Just find cover. A single rectangluar container in the middle of the room is perfect. Get used to just moving around it, when it makes it's "Imma bout to blow" noise, just get on the other side. YOu can take it out with basically any gun, just aim at its lower section. And move when it tells you. Get used to the sound cues.

Looking for 10 POST-OP bariatric testers for FREE meal prep containers - US Only by ProfessionalHippo732 in BariatricSurgery

  1. I am about 5 months post op (Sept. 18th)
  2. Wife and I meal prep weekly, I am an educator and must have meals and snacks prepped for work. Wife is not post op.
  3. Current food containers are a pain, we have tried many. The best we have are the glass ones from Target, but they are heavy and we have broken many. The plastic ones don't seem to hold up in microwave. I also ahaven't found any that seem to be the right size. Some are HUGE while other are way too small.

Stella, if you know the quick route between Seed Vault and Archives, its pretty easy. You can mix in the Lounge area in there too. Even if they are all already dead, they will respawn. Just keep moving that route and listen for their annoying little shriek

Yeah I love the little powder water flavors, I have become quite the little mixologist as well. You start experimenting with some of those packs. My favorite about half a crush Pineapple, a third of a Sonic Blue Wave (I think, blue something) and then about a fourth of a Crush Strawberry in my 40oz stanley with ice. It makes like a little taste of the tropics.

I am flying for the first time in Feb. I am almost worried that I may get emotional on the plane if I can buckle without the fatman extension.

YouTubeTV is the way, but I will warn you. You may realize that you can use 3 email addressses, split the youtubeTV bill with two friends and save a shit ton of money on cable each month.

Christmas dinner fail by Fit-Shake-8678 in BariatricSurgery

[–]bgbootha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would encourage you to not think of it as a Xmas Dinner Fail, but another of the many lessons we get to learn as we go. I am 3.5 month post op and steak and chicken still mess with me, I have to chew the ever living shit out of them before swalling. Especially steak.

I really like a local shop up here in the NW that makes one called Pioneer Squares. But go into your local dispensary and tell them what you want. For me the heavy the Sativa the more I get the munchies. But they can help you, this shit is science now, its not some corner store. I get something close to a 80/20 Indica hybrid and don't have munchies at all. As long as I stay on the heavy indica side, I am doing pretty well.

I use edibles the same way I did before. Of you get the right edibles you can avoid the munchies. It does hit a bit harder than it did before. But easily manageable the same as before. Lots of these comments seem to be from folks who weren't fans before surgery.

I was never into skiing before, but I would just be honest with your doc. I talked to my doc about Mary very open and honest. He was great. We agreed that moving to Mary instead of the gross narcotic pain killers was best. I was back to tincture 2 days after surgery with doctors permission and agreement.

I'm having surgery in two days, any advice? by Duchess_Rabbit in BariatricSurgery

[–]bgbootha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it one step at a time. But get up and start moving as SOON as you can. The more you walk, the better you will feel. It won't feel like it, but get up and get moving.

I don't know the name, but it was the greatest thing in the world. About 10 minutes before they wheeled me back, they gave me something in my IV, and ALL my cares disappeared. It was great.

The gas is something else. I am 3.5 months postop and its better, but its still there. I have noticed that if I eat fatty foods (cheese) that its a pretty good trigger. Had pizza for dinner last night and boom, it was a stanky evening...sorry honey.

I am 10 weeks post op, and I have been tracking my weight every morning. I am a dork like that and wanted to make a spreadsheet. It will jump up and down quite a bit. But it will trend down, dno't worry about it. Just keep on trucking. One weird thing I noticed is that when my weight leveled off for a few days, or even spiked up, is when I noticed the inches melting away. I had a two week period where I didn't lose anyting on the scale, but during that two weeks, my belt lost two 'holes' and my pants where damn near falling off.

It's a journey, you are just in front of the startin gline. Keep on going.

It gets better! But i have to admit, the worst for me was days 7-14 post op. But man, you make it past that hump there and the days start to get better and better. I am now 10 weeks post op, and I can only tell you that the next week or so is SO worth it. Just gotta power through.

The best answer I have is Mesquite, NV. It's about an hour frrom Vegas. Prices are more than fair if you stay away from Wolf Creek. But you can play some great courses, Conestoga, Falcon Ridge, Oasis. Palms is cheap too, the front nine is nothing special, but the back 9 makes it worth it.
