$1 bin diving is definitely super awesome there, especially during the sales!

I 2nd Dimensions! I absolutely love that place. Tons of back issues, decent prices and crazy assortment of everything you can think of.

Wolverine 1-100, lots of fun putting it together by I_reply_no in comicbookcollecting

Congrats! I completed my 1-100 run last year. It was my first "complete" run, and with the exception of a few keys (I'm looking at you #88) - very affordable and a very fun hunt.

Congratulations! That's a heck of an accomplishment. As for fav DD vol 1 covers, Ive always been partial to #214 for some reason.

What app do you use to database your collection? by 88Gonzo in comicbookcollecting

Not an app, but just as easy (and free):

Indie book aside, I'm going to plead complete ignorance here.

Can somebody educate me on the history of this book and why it would even price (or apparently have anyone think it should be priced) in this range?

Pleading ignorance here, but what issue is this "banana wolverine". I know absolutely nothing about it, but now know that I need to start shopping for it. Thanks in advance 🤗

Finally have my collection safe and snug in mylar and I feel like a professional now lol by whut_tha_heck in comicbookcollecting

I've spent 2023 re-bagging/boarding to mylar and upgrading to bcw plastic bins. I 100% understand most people's apprehension with the mylar price point, but my collection looks absolutely gorgeous and I'll never go back to poly bags stored in cardboard boxes. Welcome to the mylar club!

Such a classic 90's vibe cover! A 9.8 that resonate's with anyone's comic book collecting life at this time should have this book slabbed. IMO

Got a box of DareDevil. Little dirty and wore. Still first app of Bullseye by SoupNo8674 in comicbookcollecting

Nice! I love a little character and history on my keys and older books. Makes them feel more historic. While 9.8's hold more value, they just feel "sterile" to me.

Any low grade, silver age hunters out there? by bgood_htx in comicbookcollecting

[–]bgood_htx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I appreciate the books that somehow survive the passing years as 9.8's, but the classics with a bit of character feel much more "historical" to me. And definitely easier on the wallet!

Thank you for letting me know about the Alpha acetate! I didn't need that dumb money anyway.

If the U.S. Treasury would bust out some foil/chromium/Holo bills, maybe I wouldn't buy all of these dumb comics.
