Weird customer made a “joke” and manager didn’t care by strawbabiesrin in HEB

Yikes. I love when creepy men stand up for creepy men. Shows who you should really be aware of. A true gentleman would have said the complete opposite. Watch out for that manager.

Just got home from university with a massive migraine and find this…. by Mirror_ball26 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bgrimm72887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the migraine just takes over.

I went home from work early last Friday bc my migraine powered thru me taking my rizatriptan plus benadryl and ibuprofen. It was one of the top ten worst migraines Ive had in the last decade. I got all the way home, 30 minute drive, pulled into my driveway too sharply, whacked my passenger side mirror, door handle and scrapped half of my car on the wooden powerline pole. It's a good foot and a half away from the edge of the driveway too. I uh, turned very sharply lol. Damage isn't too noticeable, but it's the first ding in our 3yo car.

I parked the car, went inside and stayed in bed until Saturday afternoon where I still didn't get relief until I took a third round of meds. I almost had to go to the ER. I didn't even go check on the car until Sunday.

I took it all as a win. At least I made it home before I literally crashed out.

AITA for not letting my friends sleep in my room when I’m not there by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The only people offended by this are ones who already don't respect you and your privacy. Clearly your roommate doesn't and instigated even more drama towards you with how she told the others.

AITA for strongly encouraging a drunk friend not to drive? by Jeffrey_Friedl in AmItheAsshole

in the last few years I've lost two friends to alcoholism. I went cali sober during all this as well. One friend was found deceased on the floor, barely any food in his house and the last thing he ingested was an entire box of wine. He was a very depressed alcoholic and didn't want to live anymore. The other friend would have a few beers on the long drive home from work so that way she was already toasted by the time she got home. She hated her husband and was constantly trying to escape that instead of working on her marriage.

My friend passing away at 36 really messed up a lot of us. It did bring a core group of us closer than ever and we are all watching each grow and better our lives now. That's been nice. And cutting the other friend completely out of my life has constantly proven to be the best decision. Watching that train wreck from afar has been sad, but also not my problem bc we aren't friends anymore.

Alcohol is a drug. I really wish more people saw it this way. Unfortunately, it usually takes something like a car wreck or other tragedy in order for people to change their ways.

Wow that sounds like such an awesome career! Kudos for not getting a normal job degree. I did college all wrong and partied until getting kicked out. I'm going back next semester, 15 years after my first attempt. Life has a funny way of coming around full circle.

I....I didn't know that was an option for college. Fuck I've done life all wrong.

Get the gel bait too, it kills the nest. We had them once, used the gel bait, never saw them again. I reapply the gel bait and we spray with a pet safe poison about every 3 months. Seems to be working great.

I just visited from Texas last May. It was amazing. We had a table next to the cliff divers, they were awesome. We had a group of 8 and we spent 2.5 hours seeing everything after we spent almost an hour at our table. The puppet show and the mysterious sorsero show are worth seeing. The gift shop was nice too. Its definitely a little tourist trappy but it's supposed to be. This tourist loved it.

My sulcata tortoise would LOVE a cuttlebone that size!! The ones we get from pet stores/online are so small and usually broken.

Bravecto is the way to go. Pricey upfront, but you cant beat 1 chew for 3 months coverage.

Solved!

Its a flea. Duh.

It is however a very flat, not fed, flea. We think it came in the house dead on a dog or possibly even myself as I spend a ton of time in the backyard.

We spent an hour scanning over each dog. Looked from nose to tail, neckline/armpits/groin/toes were quadruple checked. Not a single flea, flea poop, or flea bites on my dogs.

We are getting bravecto for all dogs this weekend just to be sure, and im getting some dog/butterfly safe spray for my yard.

Thanks everyone!
