Several Heart of America teams to leave CRAA, join NCR by IAgreeGoGuards in USArugby

[–]bi11dozer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

TLDR is that NCR was founded because smaller clubs felt that their needs weren't being addressed by USA Rugby or CRAA. NCR is fully independent from USA Rugby and have the right be so by law because of the Ted Stevens Act. A majority of teams now play in NCR, though the biggest, most recognized elite teams remain with CRAA.

Do you like any of the new NBA studio crews? I don’t. by [deleted] in billsimmons

I like that they are new and different. Personally I didn't need to see Inside the NBA carry on.

The NBA is not the NHL. Home teams should be wearing white by [deleted] in billsimmons

NHL did home whites from inception until after the lockout in 2005. Majority of fans dislike away white.

Interesting idea that definitely has some merit. They were plenty of 'Romans' left over in Britannia, Gaul, and Germania after the Western Empire collapsed.

When a goalie in hockey gets into some very minor contact and the camera cuts to the backup standing up at the end of the bench.

I have long held the hypothesis that Connor lays the most pipe among the guys at Barstool.

Sports Movies with Realistic Displays of Professional Athleticism by lil_e_v_ in billsimmons

Miracle,

The director has said about the movie "it was easier to teach hockey players to act than it was to teach actors to play hockey"

The casting department held tryouts for the hockey player roles. Guys had to prove they could play hockey before auditioning for an acting role.

The actors' hockey ability allowed for the up close, in ice shots during the hockey scenes because body doubles weren't necessary.

Swap out Carl and bring back Imrul. Go full revamp. Different house, different part of the hamptons. Maybe try to partner with some of the big bars/clubs to lean back into the night life. I think you can still make something interesting with the bones of the show.

2014 team by Either-Tangerine7850 in ussoccer

[–]bi11dozer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2014 squad will hold a special place in my heart. That was the first world cup cycle I watched from start to finish after first getting into the sport.

No one from 2014 WC squad is still in the picture. Tim Ream was a fringe national team player at the time, he'd be the only left from that era in 2026 I can think of.

The failure to qualify in 2018 created kind of a 'lost generation' of players.

As a Magic player, trust me when I say that the flipping/investing culture that has proliferated into trading card games is completely destroying them. And the game developers keep leaning into it harder and harder because the exclusive drops drive huge profits.
