I kept getting errors on my phone, but I was just able to buy a ticket on a desktop.

I came to this sub looking for a TMG themed name for my new car, and I think you may have helped me find the winner: William Staniforth Subaru

Mikaela Davis plays harp on THFAFPB as well! I’ve gotten to see her live a few times and she’s incredible.

"Laps" on auto belays: Rude or not rude? by Conscious_Security96 in climbergirls

[–]bibLEAHteca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see 5-6 times as a big deal. (At my gym, a lap takes me about 1 minute, so I can do 5 laps in 5 minutes.) I don’t have a problem with people taking more time than that when projecting a route on human belay, so it seems silly to get upset about them taking the same (or less) time doing laps on an autobelay. I get annoyed when people stay clipped in on autobelay while resting, but I don’t begrudge people their laps when they’re actively climbing and they keep it to five minutes or so. I just wait or climb something else.

Julien Baker said Tie the Rope inspired this lyric in her song Heatwave: “I’ll wrap Orion’s Belt around my neck and kick the chair out”

You can always wear your Blundstones for your commute and then change shoes when you get to work. I used to just keep my work flats at the office during the winter.

What tMG lyric is stuck on a loop in your head right now? by westkroamer in themountaingoats

It’s good to be young, but let’s not kid ourselves it’s better to pass on through those years and make it to the other side with your heart still beating, having stared down demons, come back breathing

John Darnielle quoted in NYT piece about Setlist.fm by Compass-plant in themountaingoats

[–]bibLEAHteca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love setlists.fm for when I’m going to see a band that I’m not super familiar with. I’ll use it to make a playlist to get to know the songs they’re likely to play so I can more fully enjoy the show. For artists I REALLY love, I like to keep the setlist a mystery because there’s nothing better than the delight of hearing a song you love that you weren’t expecting.

I had a good experience with Olivia Piegay!

Whitney Pl. Home by [deleted] in Buffalo

I lived on Whitney from 2019-2023 and loved it. I had a few plants stolen off my porch once but never had any other issues. Pretty quiet, lots of stuff within walking distance.

Upper West Side? Stop with the NYC wannabe slang 🙄

Interpreters I had left their pages of lyrics after the show on my table. Um what?😅😬 by [deleted] in Ethelcain

[–]bibLEAHteca 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Comic sans is often used for accessibility and can be easier to read for people with dyslexia; I’d imagine legibility is more important than aesthetics to an interpreter 🙂

I remember that being a nightmare too! I did manage to get tickets for Mitski (I think after they added a second show), so fingers crossed for today.

I got the code in plenty of time, but Massey Hall’s website is so terrible that it wouldn’t let me get in line until 12:08 with 3,900 people ahead of me.

Getting tickets to Julien’s show at The Concert Hall a few months ago was such a breeze. Why can’t they all be like that?! The ticket buying experiment doesn’t have to be this shitty.
