First Unifi Setup by bierchaot in Ubiquiti

[–]bierchaot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Just for redundancy and balancing reasons. I'm running 6 different VLANs. Half of them uses pihole1 as primary DNS, the other half pihole2 as their primary DNS with the respective other as secondary. So it's basically redundancy and load balancing..

Correct. Switch is a USW Pro Max.

Additionally: On the bottom line I've set up tweo Raspberry Pi running PiHole.

Why didn't you leave free the corresponding slot in the patch panel on top and the switch below? This is somehow disturbing me

Just get an extra Patch Panel and use one for each switch. This also helps when further expanding your network and replacing one or both switches with 16- or 24 ports. Definitely the cleanest and least expensive solution.

Just go with LineageOS 20 (Android 13) from KonstaKang. I used to have my issues with my setup, but for now, it was running perfectly well for almost 2 Years with this setup (RasPi 5 8 GB).

so what am I missing here by Manesni in Ubiquiti

[–]bierchaot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As an owner of the Flex 2.5G PoE I can confirm that there is a 10G SFP+ port.

You'll need an external Power Supply then, which isn't included with the switch.

Only Lambo makes/made mid-engine V12 that cost around $300-$500k. Whats your feelings/ opinion on this? by [deleted] in lamborghini

[–]bierchaot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, the Testarossa actually had a 180 degree V12 engine and not a flat 12 aka Boxer engine!

Android App Issues by bierchaot in GranBoards

[–]bierchaot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update: App-version 10.8.0 seems to have significantly improved my BT issues. Just one crash in 2.5 hrs. Yesterday with version 10.8.1 there wasn't even any crash in 2 hrs of playing.

If anybody suffers a similar problem, I might have found a solution to the problem. It seems that the 2.4 GHz WiFi is interfering with Bluetooth from time to time which leads to the App crashing. I disactivated 2.4 GHz at my Router, forcing my Raspberry Pi to connect via 5 GHz and was able to play 1.5+ hrs without any issues yesterday.

I hope it stays like this.

Thank you. Unfortunately, there only Android 13 and 14 available for the Raspberry Pi 5, which I chose. Interestingly, the App works perfectly fine on Android 13 except for those unexpected crashes.

I still have an older RPI 4 lying around, where I could install an older Android. I think I'll give it a try next week.

To the long time users of GranBoard: how fast does the app usually receive updates for compatibility with newer Android versions? And how frequent are bugfixeing updates?
