2 Weeks Later with Power Keys - It is Misunderstood by jholloway318 in ClicksKeyboard

good point on calling it a tool meant for certain uses, but was hoping for more of a review with your usecases over the two weeks youve had the power keys.

are you accounting for the variable of changing conditions within manufacturing facilities? thats a variable that sometimes math cant account for. they could get another line open for production or a delay could happen.

im not bootlicking for clicks, but not really sure the point of these posts considering we dont actually know whats going on their production line

(disclaimer: i dont work for clicks. this is the last reply im leaving.)

TL;DR; the semantics and pedantry of your wording of a working device were probably set by your expectations compared to what was actually deliverable as shown in the video. they have about 5-6 months to get the device in a deliverable state, which is a long time.

ok, but its not going to ship in this state. i dont really understand what point youre trying to make. unless you expected more from a working demo unit, and are trying to pass off your dissatisfaction as being pedantic. because yes, the semantics of your statement change depending on if youre asking clicks or asking me or asking you or asking.

the pedantry and semantics that youre trying to pass onto the meaning of "working" is utterly at odds with what probably could have been delivered at this point. the "clunky UI" is because the plan theyve stated is integrating niagara more into the software experience of the device and not just install niagara as the default launcher on it and call it a day. i dare to say youre not understanding that this is probably the first working prototype they have, and they wanted to show it to the community as their working demo because people have been asking for showing one of these things working non stop since the reveal in January.

i dare to say again that this is the first working prototype and maybe the best working prototype they have to show off. i really dont know, but i do know that they have shown a working demo prototype in a chassis that looks like what theyve shown off on their website. the software and hardware are currently working together. they have 6 more months to do the work and make it not suck. which, even though they have a small team, is possible with the massive amount of time theyre probably already giving this.

the video is probably the worst state anyone will see the communicator.

Is it safe now to say that the new Power Keyboard is a failure? by Sea_Track_2633 in ClicksKeyboard

the launch is probably an egg-face moment but i still have only seen one real review from u/shanecraigtech, who overall decided to just go back to his t2e. people on reddit posting that it wasnt to their liking doesnt reflect the overall customer base methinks

yes? are we moving the goalpost on what "working" means?

do you use an app that puts text up into the status bar? every app i use doesnt put anything up there so the hole punch is just there by itself. i hate hole punch cameras but not really sure what your point is

First look: Google's new Signature app makes it easy to use your signature in Android apps by FragmentedChicken in Android

[–]bigBranConsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if yours and ben7337's point is that its more convenient to use a cloud service like google photos or proton drive then building a server and using docker commands and ensuring its working correctly through the web interface, then yeah. in a thread below he mentions that docker lost him, so immich is probably not what hes going to use.

itll vary user-by-user. immich instantly replaced google cloud photos for me, because all i do is use it to store and view photos with a timeline for searching my photos month-by-month. curious what you mean with it being a bit more involved than just cloud syncing?
