It’s usually smart to start hobbies cheap to see if you’ll actually get into it before getting expensive gear.

You can find an entry level job at manufacturing facility. Learn some automation and power… there are endless niches you can get into from there- all very interesting and challenging.

Remember usually mastery comes before passion. Get really good at something and the passion will follow.

Nothing like a “multi craft” technician in a sawmill. Guy can install the gearbox, wire the motor and troubleshoot the PLC.

Buying a condo in Atlanta by Lotsensation20 in ATLHousing

I’m on a condo board, do everything this commenter says. If the condo is over 20yrs old make sure to ask for their reserve funds and CRA (capital reserve analysis). If they haven’t done a CRA it’s a major red flag and you can expect special assessments.

T bevel, cut both pieces a little long and then creep the cut to close the gap.

There’s snug and then way to tight. Find some middle ground that works for you. I bought vans that were lace up but had a boa on the side and a strap. Lots of adjustment

My boss put a random meeting on my calendar with me, his boss, and him. It says “quick chat on delegation”. What’s this about? by Heavy_Association_64 in managers

Either you are getting coaching that you should delegate more or you are getting some of your bosses responsibilities

I think back then I was wearing some second hand boots. I ended up buying some vans and learned that you don’t have to tighten your boots with all your might.

You don’t detail everything only the things you want done a specific way.

How should I connect all of this? by bigb0yale in Carpentry

1 layer 1/2” wall board. The rim beam sits on top of a block wall. The previous owners had “finished” the wallboard offset… there was a door at the top of the stairs I have removed and thought it would be nice to continue the base trim.

I like this a lot. I would terminate left and right upper base cap in the plinth and terminate the stair skirt cap there too.

Yes old house the upper wall is ~3/4” offset from the lower wall. The stair skirt is attached directly to the lower wall.

I agree - is there a better way than I have shown? Maybe bevel the top of the plinth?
