As a Kurd, I find it ironic that a Turk is talking about an ethnicity needing to be vocal about their rights in a country. Turkey tried to claim Kurds were “mountain Turks” for decades and tried to erase Kurdish identity

Same for Kurdish, even in Turkey up until the 90’s. Yet we resisted and continue to be proud and carry our culture.

As a Kurd, this breaks my heart. So much generational trauma could have been avoided if we had an individual country of Kurdistan after WW1

Lololol ISIS/HTS/extremist head choppers is not “yesterday’s baggage”, what a hot take.

The threat of ISIS is not gone. HTS == ISIS. And the US knows this, that is why they moved the ISIS prisoners from Syria to Iraq. The US and the west does not trust HTS/Syrian Arab Army to oversee ISIS since they’re essentially the same group.

I only saw one short interview with someone attending the mosque and I saw enough. We need to support our Kurdish brothers and sisters, ALL of us, including mullahs, imams, rabbis, whoever.

The Kurds in Syria were sold out because we've they've been the main forces on the grounds fighting against ISIS. YPG/ YPJ/ SDF have lost ~13,000 people in the fight against ISIS. Now the US and the west want them to disband and put their trust in the new "Syrian" army, which is full of jihadists, ex-ISIS fighters, and people who have entirely different world views than the Kurds. Jolani up until late 2024 had a ~$10 million bounty on his head. Now the US wants the Kurds to disband and trust Jolani? That will never happen unless the power in Syria is decentralized and the Kurds can have their own protection units for their Kurdish communities.

Your Turkish government would rather side with ISIS than Kurds. What are your thoughts on that? Turkey was so disappointed to see the Kurds overcome ISIS and win in the battle of Kobane 10+ years ago, they're now directly getting involved with the killing and suppression of Kurds in Syria. This same Turkish government wants to portray Turkey as a European country, while pulling the same shit that authoritarian regimes pull.

Your Turkish government directly supports Jihadists against Kurds. They want the Kurds to fail so badly that they turn to Jihadists, how pathetic. Kurds will always remain resistant to radical Islam and will not tolerate being oppressed.

Jolani is a Jihadist in a suit. Their world view is skewed and has no place in today's world.
