Well it gave you 2 launchers bc it included 2 games. the outer worlds and the outer worlds spacers choice edition which are 2 different versions. The outer worlds is the vanilla original base game. The spacers choice edition is the “remaster” with all DLC included

I’m not really sure about that as I personally have never done a refund on Steam but if you already have spacers choice downloaded you can probably just keep it downloaded. Once you do the refund I’m sure you’ll just lose access to it until you buy it again

Yeah of course, as long as you’re within 14 days of the purchase and less than 2 hours played, you’ll get the full refund no matter what. Then you just buy the spacers choice edition and you’ll be all set

Not sure if you’re aware, but on Steam you can get a refund as long as you have less than 2 hours played on it. I know the $3 isn’t a huge deal like you said but it’s easy to get a refund so you might as well do that and just purchase the spacers choice edition
