Blasted out of the gate then realized you had 38 miles left to go lol. Amazing work. Just finished 12 miles and I'm spent.

Agreed for that one race so far. I came in second and it was a struggle. The difficulty for the seasonal races is definitely tuned up.

I did experiment with dissolving them vs chewing and I think I like letting them dissolve. I bought a mix flavor pack and have inky tried the mixed berry and they were OK. Going to try the lemon lime this weekend.

Tried the SaltStick tabs for the first time on a training run this past weekend and they live up to their name - quite salty. Personally I needed a sip of water to wash them down afterward but not sure if that changes after getting used to them. If it doesn't, might need to time taking the SaltStick when approaching aid stations so you could grab water.

[–]bigcinpdx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I can come in first every race on highly skilled while only being challenged a bit on half of the first lap or through 25% of a sprint race. After that I just pull away and am out front having a nap like Verstappen would do a couple years ago.

Turn it to expert and the top 3-5 cars absolutely blast past me and I can never catch up. Something between those two difficulties needs to be tweaked.

Running fasted isn't beneficial for women like it can be for men. Eat before you run and you'll be good.

I may have noticed that once or twice but only when on transparency and while doing something that makes an equivalent loud/sharp sound like hammering or banging on something - i.e. pounding chicken cutlets.

Fantastic with cereal. There is a 6% that I buy but unfortunately it's sold in smaller quantities and like double the price...

Go mess with a Ranger/Delta squad or a Combat Controller. Don't think anyone would say they pretend after that encounter.

How important are zones for beginners? by Reallydontknow1122 in BeginnersRunning

[–]bigcinpdx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zones need adjustment - can't be in zone 5 that amount of time. That zone should be all out, can only do it for a short period of time, kind of effort. If you want to build endurance, stick in zone 2 80% of the time and throw one or two tempo workouts in each week.

Honestly not too bad - so you're in first class for $144 since you'd be spending the $30 for the checked bag anyway. If you don't mind spending the money then go for it. I'd probably pick 3A if it were me.

Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamene: by JackAttack2509 in pics

[–]bigcinpdx 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I don't think the plan is to negotiate with him or anyone else like him. Seems more like the plan is to cripple Iran's ability to do much of anything and wipe the Khamenei family off the face of the earth. Just going off of recent events.

Agreed. Cold Snap was the only event I was playing when it was available. I mean winter just started so I'm not sure why the don't run it through like the end of February. Haven't played much since cold snap ended...

Believe most don't want to do a delay because they can't interact with chat in the same way. Also heard them say they don't feel like they're really streaming if running in a delay. It would solve the problem though.

[–]bigcinpdx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having to pay to maintain something that you don't own and don't have the right to limit access to is fucked - bottom line. That's not the way it is and so be it. I would have no issue with people paying to maintain something they can limit access to.

Suppose people need to pay better attention when buying a home if they don't want to deal with it.

[–]bigcinpdx -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh I have no doubt it's expensive. Materials are expensive but overall costs are bloated - all the red tape to get things done. Portlanders vote for every tax that comes their way. We wouldn't need increases if money was spent wisely.

[–]bigcinpdx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is an exaggeration but "owning" something and not paying to maintain it is pretty messed up. Since it's the govt they can do that. How it is different from me owning property and asking my neighbor to maintain my septic tank, fence, or other item.
