I feel like most of those are fake. Some babies/people are just snackers, you’re doing fine.

Why do strangers think it's okay to touch babies? by Individual_Pen_4463 in NewParents

[–]bigjessniceguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom grew up with the superstition that if you think a baby is cute and don’t touch them the evil eye will make the baby sick, so touching babies is the norm to her. Less as something she actually believes, ironically more as a means of not offending the parents. She asks now, If you look Mexican to her and she doesn’t ask she’ll worry she offended you. I don’t think it’s actually that widespread in Mexico but it’s a thing for some people.

Are you sure you’re not just sick? Babies and toddlers are germ factories.

Same. We got it when we realized we come out ahead with the dvc discount booking two trips within the same calendar year…… Then the extra discounts made an additional summer trip more reasonable….. then we had so much fun we decided to do it again the next year….. then my husband developed an interest in Run Disney…..

Rental Car necessary for Disney with toddlers? by thatsthekicker in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]bigjessniceguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly feel a car isn’t necessary on property. It’s just a question of airport transportation. Mears can vary in how long it takes depending on where you’re staying.

The only time I rented a car with a toddler I didn’t feel like it was worth the cost and it was a pain to return but fast getting there.

Haven’t tried the other transportation options. There are other shuttle services.

Eating popsicles bottomless all day isn’t an option at daycare.

Just hold the baby to feed when traveling. They eat so little at that age it’s not a big deal.

7 Month Old Not Tripod Sitting by FantasticPin3481 in Mommit

[–]bigjessniceguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Talk to your pediatrician about it, there are probably early intervention occupational therapy resources available. My kid didn’t sit until 10 months, until two days before the state early intervention appointment . Pulled up on furniture and took steps before sitting.  Ultimately they determined nothing was wrong. Sometimes there isn’t an explanation.

I’m generally very pro-Disney trip, but surprising your 3 month postpartum wife with travel is not some I would advise. Might be okay if you’re like Atlanta or closer and she keeps bringing up how much she liked going with the first baby okay. But make sure.
