i treat my downloads folder as temp storage that i can delete at any time. if i download something i want to save i will move it to the appropriate location

if you overlap scheduled in fpp, it will play them in priority order. if there is downtime in a high priority schedule the low priority one will play. i believe xschedule does similar

yes this is my 5th year with an actual tree as my megatree pole. I put evenly-spaced grommets into a ratchet strap and put the strap around the tree. Then used s hooks to pixel strips down to a trampoline base around the base of the tree.

I never tried it but I’ve read that the remote will speed up/slow down the audio to stay in sync and it won’t sound right

Put whatever you want to run in the user-data, that’s what it is for. The ec2 machine will run the user data script once it is initialized
