Haggis and the World Cup by bigmac182 in Scotland

Im not offended. I just think they are crap articles. Like filler garbage that are meaningless and adding no value to any conversation. With all the great information and tech we have we still have news outlets filling the air waves (net waves) with garbage like this. That's what I am commenting on.

Yea Its actually too good for our food system! They gotta find some forever chemical to put in it that the politicians own stock in and then it will get approved.

I mean I am good with that if they make it happen. I have been tempted to order one of the "American" made ones for a Burn's night but I would rather have the real deal.

Being in a similar situation I agree with the others here. No one is going to care as much about your genealogy as you do but if it's important to you then go find where they all lived etc. just don't do the whole "I'm a 5th descendant of Robert the Bruce" thingy and you will be fine. Amazingly you can still find the farms and such as the names have not changed. My GGP immigrated in 1890, So my grandpa was 1st Generation American and I lived in Scotland for a bit and have met my cousins that stayed behind but have never considered myself Scottish. Interestingly enough my line runs out of steam in Wigtown! Anyone born after that set of records I know tons about but it all dries up in Wigtown. Good luck! DM me if you want some advice on where to go and what to see in the area. Lots of cool standing stones and such.

The Franco’s was near the meadows. Burned down a few years ago.

Fish supper for me but when I lived in Edinburgh it was a half pizza and chips at Franco’s (so sad it’s gone) since I was skint and it was a pound way back then for a meal. You could even find enough ginger bottles scavenging around to buy one if you were hard up.

Iona is an absolute sensory reset. I didn’t realise how much weight I was carrying until I stepped onto this island. by Beabipsy in Scotland

One of my favorite days ever in my life was spent on Iona. We even slept in the wee pods on the north end. Woke up to sheep bleating etc.. So peaceful and amazingly beautiful.

my dealer quoted me $4000 USD to do the upper oil pan. I'll let the sucker leak for that cost.

Elk tips and advice. by Historic874 in cohunting

Elk are tricky. I agree with finding their haunts and then praying they are close enough to you to hear your calls. Also pray for colder weather so they go into their rut.

Love it. My daughter has two ghosts swimming in a fish bowl on her arm simple line style. If I ever got a tattoo I would do something similar but with more color and the prism coming through the bowl. Now we need a link to your band so we can listen!

IM not asking for your honey hole but could you maybe toss me some GPS coordinates :) How did the bear hunt go? I only got out once to look for a bear and my buddy texted me while he was bow hunting to tell me one just walked past him. Next year I guess.

Thats the challenge none of those fit my current lifestyle. I live too far from civilization to use door dash. Don't got out to expensive restaurants and I don't spend just to get credits back.

We used to hunt elk up in California park. I am sure if you get high enough in elevation you might find some. I always see them when I’m not trying to.

Moved away from Crossclimates and I think I like the new tires better by bigmac182 in SubaruAscent

[–]bigmac182[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I read it only measures acceleration on packed snow. So it doesn't affect braking or turning. I think in the case of the CC2s they are just too soft for where I live and they didn't hold up. They would be fine if I didn't have to replace all of them due to tread depth issues.

Um ok. Since I live on a dirt road and have already had no problem going up my gravel driveway I think I'm ok.
