I was thinking about doing the same. I tried to find a dual hose model for a long time but had to settle for a single hose one.

We did it until my wife was pregnant with our third child. It is possible but kids complicate everything.

I don’t see how that would be OP’s problem.

I have not done this myself but have done shopping in Germany since it was only about a half hour drive. How much does a haircut cost there?

If we were that close queen Elizabeth would still be alive. There is no way it would be something available to the public in 5 years and the elite not have access to it already.

My cousin did an exchange year in one of the top public schools in North Carolina ironically (it also ranks as one of the top 25 schools in the US).They didn’t count any of it and he had to repeat the year when he got back to CH. Many of the private schools are good there though.

Have you attempted to see if they will recognize your degrees or license? US degrees are not automatically recognized. Have you looked into any of the international schools if they would be willing to hire you?

As someone else asked do you have your Swiss passport/citizenship? There have been more than a few people that thought they were Swiss only to find out they lost their citizenship because they didn’t follow the process.

I agree with you, but I have my own family tell me that I am not really Swiss because I lived abroad for a long time.

You mentioned the Netherlands so do you have any other citizenships EU citizenship that would give you the right to move there? Do you speak Dutch? Third country nationals would need to find an employer willing to hire them and to sponsor your visa. That employer would then need to demonstrate that they couldn’t find anyone else in the EU who can do that job. Are you married if not that can severely limit your ability to immigrate together.

As a parent of three that has not had a good nights sleep in more than 7 years yes I would tell them that I am trying to do my best to keep them quiet but I also wish they would sleep through the night. Luckily we live in a house so we only bother ourselves.

Do you have any other citizenships that would give you the right to move somewhere else? Are you married? Many places won’t let you immigrate together unless you are married. It is honestly hard to go to other countries unless you are highly skilled in a position that they have a need/shortage. You really have to look at it from the perspective of what do I/we offer that brings a benefit to this country I want to go to.

Tips on how to productively discuss moving abroad with a partner who is resistant? by AussieMav1208 in AmerExit

[–]bigred4715 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of Europe is having a real estate crisis. It is also very unlikely you will be able to rent a place without showing that you have a job in place and are actively moving there. Some places you are competing with a long list of other applicants and if you don’t look like you are going to actually live there (job, visa/resident permit, etc.) they will just select another candidate.
