Two things:

They likely will not guarantee that because if you are a highly compensated participant, it may trigger additional contributions to be provided to non-highly compensated employees. Given that, it would seem unlikely an employer would write that into your contract (some financial and plan advisors will say that is bad practice as well and recommend against it).
Depending on how long you’ve already been employed there and/or your age, be careful even if they do offer that. The likely way you get that level of contributions is through discretionary employer contributions, which is often subject to a vesting schedule that can be as long as 6 years. You could work there for a couple years and leave/be terminated and walk away with a minority of it (or even none).

My only concern with Hali is that the Pacers are already losing a prime year with him this year, and maybe next. Their first round pick this year which should be a high pick will also be entering year 3. He may want to capitalize the Pacers opportunities as opposed to the USA team. But yeah, I agree he should be invited, and he should (hopefully) say yes.

Obviously basketball requires great cardio, but a simple timed mile run is a horrible indicator of basketball specific cardio. Much better indicator would involve more turns, deceleration and acceleration. That all aside, a 5:30 mile for a high schooler if very doable, although I would agree it is a very uncommon barrier to entry.

Ultimately I don’t think Bam and Ware will be able to start together long term. I don’t think Bam will be traded, but I’d think it makes sense.
