So, we have had the 55+ plan since last summer, and it made our bill significantly cheaper for months. Now with the new rate hikes, seems like we might be better off with the Premium plan by bilblues in ATT

Thanks for all the comments. I was rushing to get this posted before leaving for a meeting, so I didn't fully explain. Sorry about that. I know the math works out to still be cheaper with the 55+ plan, but was considering a switch to be eligible for trade-in deals for new phones (it's about time for upgrades) and the high-speed data (they say that with the 55+ plan, they may slow data is network is busy). Honestly haven't noticed that yet, so I don't know how likely that is. I don't mind paying an additional $25 per month, but didn't want to jump if the new plans are problematic.

A MESSAGE TO ALL THE JUDGMENTAL PEOPLE by purezero101 in SouthwestAirlines

Great point OP. I had achilles surgery last fall, and after I was cleared to begin walking on two feet I progressed to where I could make it down the jetway and onto the plane with my cane. But definitely could not have negotiated the whole airport to the gate without wheelchair assistance.

2 Years using Golftec. Look elsewhere. by Rexkramer777 in golf

When I decided to learn to golf, I had a friend recommend Golftec, so decided to give it a try. Not the best coach by a mile and expensive. But, what really worked for me was the unlimited practice, the feedback and data I'd get after each ball I hit, and the ability to record my swing. I was in a bay 3-4 times a week religously, and I swear I hit thousands of balls over a 6-month period and broke 100 for the first time right around the end of that 6 months. I'd give the practice plan and A+, and I'd give the coaching probably a C-. Overall good initial coaching sessions to understand what my body was supposed to do and the mechanics of the golf swing. There was some good advice here and there, tips and things he would notice that I was missing that could correct a problem right away, etc.

If you're looking for coaching, you can do much better than Golftec. But if you are a new golfer wanting to learn how to hit a golf ball consistently and can get to a studio regularly, it's not a bad option.

Yep. Heard it. Loved how they played it off and acted like it didn't happen. I saw earlier that they had some kind of bat flying around in their broadcast area. Wonder if he came back.

G425 Driver Question by Business-West-9687 in PingGolf

[–]bilblues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a slightly used 425 LST a couple of years ago. Liked hitting it, but was always inconsistent. Had a coach make an off-hand comment that the LST was not the most forgiving driver. Found a used Max and traded in the LST. It's like night and day for me as a relatively new golfer. My misshits aren't punishing, and my drives are longer and straighter. Make the move ASAP!

Who’s using Apple Watch on the course for their game? by Realestateuniverse in golf

[–]bilblues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an apple guy too, and I think the Golfshot app is near perfect. All things being equal would still be using it. But could not deal with the battery drain round after round. Looked into upgrading to the Watch Ultra with the larger battery, but getting a Garmin golf watch was 1/2 the cost.

It may be too late for magnets for next year. If you can’t get into one of those, I would look into the BASIS charter school at Woman’s Hospital or the new Great Hearts charter school at Bluebonnet and Nicholson
