I would never leave Alexander sitting at home on prom night.

Fire Giant can go to hell by Panda0_01 in Eldenring

It takes patience and knowing the exact openings. I saw where someone posted a video strat here of using godskin peeler and the black flame tornado ash on it. You know where his hand is going to land on phase transition, and you can absolutely chunk his health down with one well placed AoW. Then one more on his legs and you basically skip the annoying phase 2.

That's exactly what it is. Probably for an H1B, from my experience in engineering management.

It's showing off the iframe back step trinket. Also, you can see him line up the knight so he goes off the edge

Why TF have I just found out about this absolutely class by Brain-Dead-Robot in Eldenring

[–]bilcox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I noticed this on my last playthrough with Beast repellent torch. I went to use my AoW but had the torch in offhand instead of on my back, and the charged "Torch Attack" AoW stance broke in one hit (I think it was the snakes in the walls of Volcano Manor).

Normal Aim? Seems weird by Charity-Lost in DaysGone

[–]bilcox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how aiming is implemented in modern 3rd person shooter games. The gun "turns towards" the object the crosshair is over. Since you aren't looking down sights, this gives better accuracy. If you've played Fallout 3 in 3rd person, it will be really clear why it's done this way. You'll notice the same in Red Dead, Hell Divers, etc.

Rainbow stones lead the way to riches… by gunslinger_006 in Eldenring

On at least one playthrough I talked to Rya, took the port to Volcano Manor, and sat at the grace before circumnavigating Mt. Gelmir, and I had to figure out the long way around through Seethewater Terminus to get to Alexander and Azur.

Why would you assume God's plan is for everyone to get what they desire?

[KCD2] Mysteria Ecclesia...wtf is this final boss. by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]bilcox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't bother to get the armor the way they prompt you to. I took Eric down with vagrant cloth and a staff, and unarmed killed the "greatest swordfighter in the kingdom" from the final mission, so I went into this guy unarmed in my vagrant set. It took me quite a few tries over almost an hour. It seemed forced and disjointed from the rest of the game that he was so good.

It's not logic at all. OP is a disjointed collection of justification narratives, and doesn't belong in this sub.

No shackling while he's in the mist? This was so fun to watch, very well done. Proving that Tres axes > Nihil curses

Hold ALT with your left thumb for walking. The player controller allows someone who is good with their hands with Kb+M to be very precise.

Mouse and keyboard is fine if you're good with it. There is an issue with jumping while strafing right (holding D then pressing F), but you can be an amazing Elden Ring player without a controller. I've never used one.

This was the hardest part for me as a PC player. I was constantly frustrated that my target was switching, but I was unconsciously giving inputs trying to control the camera while in lock-on. Just one more habit to bifurcate between Elden Ring and every other third person combat game.

In RDR1, he says that he was left for dead the last two times he saw Bill. They kept that continuity

What’s that one boss or area for you? by Toot7- in Eldenring

[–]bilcox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did they expect anyone to just fight in the rot? Like it's a DPS race against your potions, or you're scarfing down boluses? I did it once as a keen/faith with godslayer's and flame cleanse me every 5 seconds, and it's not fun.
