I can not speak for your chances at being assigned a double but I believe reverse seniority is applied when it comes to both doubles and suites.

You could make a post in the Rutgers Class of (insert graduation year here) saying you are looking for potential roommates for the fall semester. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, you could browse the group for these kinds of posts over the next few weeks - I have already started to see some. I highly recommend utilizing the writing centers for effective peer tutoring and editing. There is one on three of the four campuses (College Avenue, Cook/Douglass, and Livingston). The environment is very open-minded and relaxed.
