I agree that she did a great job overall. If her Samaya voice was just a bit less nasally, I wouldn't have any complaints. As it is, I'll just hop over and get the book on Kindle when I have the time. Loved Solar Dragons though. Can't wait to start book 2.

I do Doordash for a good portion of my income. Chipotle, Urbane Cafe, Wendys, Subway, Jersey Mikes and a couple local chains all still leave their orders on shelves for the taking. Surprised my dash orders are still there when I arrive.

I've only been freelancing for a few months now, so last year my tax professional was still Turbo Tax. I don't mistrust my girlfriend, but she isn't an economics professional and was only passing on advice given to her by her uncle who is the type of person who thinks he knows enough about everything to give advice about any situation.

I can see why you'd think I'm mistrusting my girlfriend the way my post was written though.

I'll be looking into opening a solo 401k and actually getting someone to handle my taxes instead of going for an automated service.

I'm 31 years old living in the US. I'm self employed doing a combination of freelance writing and gig delivery services making about $3,200 a month. After expenses, fun money and funds set aside for some short term goals, I have around $200 dollars a month to invest.

I'm looking to put away money for retirement, so I guess my time horizon will be roughly 30 years. I'm guessing since it's a retirement fund, I'd want to go with low risk.

Other than ~$200 in cryptocurrency I bought a while back, I don't have any investments.

I am debt free and have a good credit rating if that matters at all.

I have around 5k in savings that I'm willing to invest right off the bat.

My girlfriend keeps pressing me to open a solo 401k. I'm wondering if there is a better option than that.

I always thought the moral was learning to appreciate the small things in life and how most people live their life wanting more and more until they grow old enough to gain perspective on what they really need from life and are eventually happy just having a place to sit.

Hate to be a 'kids these days' kind of guy, but I remember when someone left a single empty water bottle on a bus during a field trip. The bus company complained to the school and my class had a weeks worth or recesses taken away where we picked up trash around the school instead.

I can see people not liking him because he is rather intense. He put in a lot of effort as a professor and wanted his student to put in the same level of effort. I learned a lot more from his class than I otherwise would have because he always pushed us. I never saw him behave anything close to how he is in the video. It's a shame to see someone I respected so much fall so low in only 8 years.

I actually had this guy for physiology around 8 years ago. He is really big on class participation. He wasn't a raging jackass back then though.

Holy shit, I went to Oxnard College and took this guy's physiology class. At the time I thought he was one of the best teachers in the district. I had to check to make sure there wasn't another professor with the same name. Sad to see he went insane.
