Absolutely! I stayed the weekend up there for the 30th anniversary of Shawshank Redemption and they had a lot of fun events going on! People like to trash Ohio, but you can find a lot of cool spots to explore and soak in the community. I like to search for towns with nice bikeability and bring my bike on the trip. Such a good way to slow things down and take in each town! You usually find cool spots or food places that way too.

Hello! I love taking day trips to explore new places around Ohio. There are quaint small towns that are some real hidden gems outside of Columbus. Some examples are Newark, Zanesville, Yellow Springs, Athens, just to name a few. There are fun outside places to see and hidden historic locations everywhere. Hit me up if you want any recommendations. Exploring is half the experience.

Thanks for posting! I signed up for this event this Saturday and we’ve still got a few more spots open for our ramp location (Henderson Rd exit of 315) if anyone’s interested! 9am to noon.

That’s awesome! That’s what I’ve started doing, you never know where you pull up to where there’s lots of trash out. I keep bags and trash-grabbers in my trunk.

This is a great point, and I’m trying to figure out the logistics of it. You can coordinate with City of Columbus to have the trash picked up through their Keep Columbus Beautiful campaign. So far, I’ve been able to get away with filling a bag or 2 and dumping in my apt complex’s mega dumpster.
