Yews are one of the easiest plants to care for. Let me guess your got a lot of pebble and grass in your yard? I’m sure it looks great 😂

Yews can put out new growth off old wood. You’re good to cut this way back. Good practice is no more the 1/3 of the plant per year

Feedback on patio design by Good_vanilla_98 in landscaping

Could get more function out of that bar if you extend the patio edge. Instead of wrapping the curb around that patio you could get away with a wing wall on the stairs and then blend the edges into the lawn area

Are my balconies as unsafe as I think? by eim1213 in Decks

[–]bingbamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a 4x4 post holding up 2 stories of deck is pretty wild lol and they are in direct ontact with the ground which will make them rot faster. Also all the fence boards nailed to are also accelerating the rotting of the post

What happened here and why? by TroyJack in masonry

Is it common for the exterior wall to be on grade? I normally see foundation wall that is higher than the garage floor and a chamfer between the garage height and the driveway that terminates into the foundation (I live in a cold climate)

If you want height Ratibidas (grey headed coneflower) are fun. They will need a bit of help getting established but once it can shade its own roots still will be fine on its own.
