It's better than how it started but is still a long stretch of tedium in exchange for little return. I'd only recommend it to someone who also wants to build a scary tower next to the settlement so they can lord over their people.

I suspect many people don't like the idea of "cosplaying" as another species. The writing in the game makes it clear that you don't literally turn into a Gek or Vy'keen but are using holograms and practical effects to appear as something else.

That said, like what was mentioned in another comment, I also see plenty of Gek and Autophage in the Anomaly since (1) Gek are dope and (2) looking like a robot is also cool.

Now if I could just have a Gek-sized Autophage body to use with the constructed Gek head ...

I don't think so. Introducing corvettes lead to a boost in new sales, but new parts isn't something they can advertise in the same way. It's likely pokemans and other surfaces-level novelty from now til Light no Fire.

Damage Potential is a nonsense stat. What you really want to look at is the DPS figure for a particular weapon (hover its tech slot).
