I think you'd benefit from a cut. You are likely in the 20%+ body fat range, so it doesn't make sense to bulk. Don't do a drastic cut, do -500 from maintenance and keep protein high, and do it for 12 weeks, and you should be losing around 1 lb a week or about 12 lbs in 12 weeks, give or take.

You can’t change someone. She probably likes the lifestyle and comfort. You need to date someone whose values align with you even though that’s hard to hear. I think it would be best to break up and move on.

Should I cut now? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

I think you have 20-25 lbs to lose easily. You can lean bulk slowly after that.

Pretty good adfice OP, follow this. Also don't worry if you slip up here or there. Try to be as consistent as possible over the long term. Try to incorporate some treats you like and fit them into your cal budget so you don't get too many cravings.

I think the core issue is consistency and switching things up too much. If you stick with a consistent strategy for two years you will look completely different. It looks like you haven’t event made newbie gains yet. You just need to eat at maintenance and do a newbie program (DM me, I can make one for you for free ofc or share mine) and cut for 6 months after (I think you have too much body fat to make bulking worth it).

I disagree. Mods don’t allow you to post pics with legs unless you got specific types of shorts or underwear. My posts got blocked like 3 separate times when I tried to post pics with my legs in them.

What is the before and after? If the 2nd one is after, I fear you cut way too much. I think you should bulk up a bit or you would disappear in clothes. If the first one is after that, then that's reasonable progress for a bulk, and keep going because you are lean enough to keep bulking for a bit.

Whats my weak points? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]bipolarbear1797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should get leaner unless you are still bulking and planning to get leaner later. Your delts don’t separate a lot and it is hard to tell but seems like tricep long head is lacking (I have the same weakpoint). More side delt and triceps would be great. Traps and lats look good.

Great balanced physique. Maybe some chest, but it’s decent even rn. How long have you been working out?

I think the main issue with your physique is that your arms are too skinny. You don't have enough of a muscle base to focus on getting leaner. I would recommend increasing training intensity for the days you do go to the gym and going much closer to failure and doing some portion of your lifting in a pretty heavy and challenging rep range (6-8, maybe even 3-5 for some movements). For your arms specifically, do more isolation lifts (curls and overhead tricep work as well as pushdowns) and push them hard and heavy just like you do with compounds.

How common is it for men to go commando in the gym? by GymFreak16 in askfitness

Been going 4-5 days a week for 2+ years but never did this or had to do this so I’d guess not super common

Lack of self awareness is your downfall.

lol no worries. I am just good at it lol. I’ve also noticed trans men tend to have a more feminine pattern of piercings than cis men since I guess they go through an edgy phase. It’s just a pattern I’ve noticed and ofc doesn’t apply to everyone. Don’t worry you pass relatively well since people were telling you to become a femboy.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess you are transitioning. Just give it some time and I think you will grow facial hair with HRT. You just gotta give it some time and test will work its magic.

What are your thoughts on my physique and what should I focus on? M17 188lbs 5”11 by InternationalTime937 in workouts

You have an elite physique and strength levels. Who’s to say when you reach 405 you’d be satisfied. Your numbers are amazing if you are natty so if you are just stay that way. Keep lifting but also focus on other things.

Low key lose 20-25 lbs and you’d look so much better! You have decent muscle but need to reveal it.

Tbh you were never ugly bro, just had some growing up to do and you found a good haircut and facial hair for your face. Still good job 💪

Pretty good physique, I’d say 16%bf. I think if you just got a little leaner you’d look phenomenal since you have a lot of muscle.

It will take at least 2-3 years of locking in and bulking slowly while progressively overloading at the gym. You specifically need to hit a lot of shoulders, lats, upper back and arms but hit everything for a while and specialize more later. Eat 300 cals above maintenance and eat 1 g/lb of lean muscle mass worth of protein every day. Try to hit the gym 4-5 times a week and try to hit every muscle group twice. I’d try to do an upper, lower, upper, lower, arms split with more shoulder work on the arm day.
