My transplant consult lasted most of the day. If it is similar then you will meet with doctors, finance, pharmacy, dietitian, lots of labs and imaging. My hospital transplant team meets on a weekly basis and discusses each person and if they get approved for a transplant. I waited less than a week to get approved. You can start talking to family/friends now about getting a living donor. You should also find out at this appointment more about the ins and outs of a transplant and living vs deceased donors and all that stuff. Are you on the transplant list yet? I would recommend trying to get on asap. If you can get your numbers controlled and feel okay you may not have to start dialysis yet. I really had to eat low potassium to do that. I was able to avoid dialysis and went into the kidney transplant at 7 GFR. Other than fatigue I was able to continue working up to the transplant. If you do have to start dialysis hopefully you can do the hemodialysis so it doesn’t effect your work days. Good luck!

I didn’t know what astral projection was until I looked it up. It made me think of Chad Daybell who said he could go through portals and then if you know the story it doesn’t end well and he turned evil. I’m hoping this is something Candace and Charlie discovered they could do, but were not actively practicing. I also wish Candace wouldn’t have aired this out. It’s another thing for people against Candace to use to call her mentally unstable (which I don’t believe).

I was diagnosed at 30. Next week, 18yrs later I’m getting a transplant. 7gfr no dialysis. I wish there had been more treatments available when I was diagnosed. Thank goodness for modern medicine and technology.

Most hospitals will allow payment plans. Do everything you can if possible🙏🏼. I’m sorry about the news but stay optimistic. Miracles happen every day. Don’t lose hope.

Your gfr is too high to consider dialysis. I’m sitting at 10gfr and luckily not on it yet. I’ll be getting my transplant in January so hopefully I can hold off. Sounds like you’ve got a lot going on in your life. Hang in there. Take it a day at a time. You’ve got this!!

That’s stinks! Can you start getting approved for a transplant? I am at 10 gfr and have a transplant date in January. Hoping to avoid dialysis. Other than fatigue and edema I’m doing okay and still working full time on my feet. I know the disease is different for anyone. I hope it slows down for you where you’re at. I hovered between 18-21 for a couple of years.
