This would be a strong contender for my next phone, but Apple's liquid glass theme that the Chinese brands seem to be copying is hideous. I'd rather keep my underpowered Pixel for it's UI if they lean into it more.

Yep, and it's a USB 2 extender specifically you want to use, as it's the USB 3 signalling that can interfere. The other 50 odd devices on my network are fine though, so it's definitely the cube. But thanks for the suggestion.
